Appearance: An Ingenue Beauty - Zeffy has a round, childlike face with a tiny, tapered chin, a small pert nose and often looks entirely too innocent. She is often told that she is pretty, cute, sweet and adorable which paired with her 5’2” height (she is the shortest of her siblings) makes it almost impossible for anybody to see her as a threat. Her hair, unless tampered with, is usually a pale brown and wavy and her eyes are a forget-me-not blue. Her pale skin refuses to tan and is instead prone to freckling which has lead to talks about her being banned from outdoor activities - she now is forced to partake in potions and strange concoctions to appease her mother. She is already being presumed to be younger than her actual age - even by her brothers though that may be the eternal burden of all younger children. She is right handed and luckily likes pale spring coloured clothes and florals as her mother buys nothing else for her having steered straight into the divination…
History:
February ‘76 - Zephy is born, it's evening and a soft warm pleasant spring wind is blowing. Her mother, a seer, having forseen both her birth and that of her sister and brothers is content, and unsurprised. She is named, like her siblings, for the wind.
Named for a soft gentle breeze it is assumed that she will be an easy child, in face of her strong willed, often tempestuous siblings - though those who truly know her or have studied the westerly breezes would know that the westerly wind can be vindictive.
A placid mild mannered child she does not seem to need for much, her first showing of magic is to create a ball of light above her bed and giggle at the shadows it cast.
A happy contented child she becomes enamored with flying early to the consternation of those of her family that would wish she were more proper. It is unfortunate that her interest is non-negotiable… and a stubborn streak is developed. She shows a love of her aunt's horses and even more with Quidditch most enjoying the feeling of wind in her hair and the ability to absolutely control her movement: something even her horse cannot do. Her favourite team is the Holyhead Harpies.
It is to be nobody's surprise that she recieves her letter in the August of 1887; though most are surprised at the fact she sorted into Ravenclaw not Hufflepuff. She tries out for for the Quidditch Team in her first year, but alas does not make the cut - and she joins the flying club and club quidditch teams instead, along with taking Music and the following year (school year 1888-1889) she tries out again and gets a Chaser position. She idolises Citrine Weasley and attempts to emulate her - seeing her as an immediate role model in something she wishes to be very good at.
She remains on the Quidditch Team for her third year (school year 1889-1890) and adds COMC, Earth Magic and Ancient Studies to her course load, deciding against Divination and Arithmancy to to the disappointment of her mother and grandmother.
Unfortunately… her need to attend the all the notable Quidditch games of the Summer backfires when her mother also attends the finale and a spectator is killed… and she is unable to attend permission to play Quidditch her forth year (school year 1890-1891). It takes a whole year of pleading and begging her father to be allowed the following year to fly. Though when she gets her Menzies that year she is somewhat pleased not to be flying (though she will not admit it) at least . She also falls in love and fancies it true and is content to pine and fall out of love when she observes less than stellar personality traits; the process continues several times over the next two years and she fears herself to be fickle.
Her return to Quidditch the next school year (School Year 1891-92) ends with victory… and whilst she should've been riding on air and getting ready for her sixth year there is trouble at home: Eurus who had just been welcomed into society has gone missing, presumed run away - afterall there is a note...
There is only for so long they can make excuses and feign illness and so a cunning plan is concocted: find her, bring her home and whilst that's happening pretend to be her...
Personality: A spring personality; Chirpy, happy, optimistic, extraverted, fun-loving, high energy, can indecisive and frequently struggles to complete projects or tasks once started. They are also a bit flighty, needing a lot of change and stimulation and they can be unpredictable. She can be vindictive, especially when she thinks she or those close to her have been wronged - however often the mood doesn't hold and can pass quickly.
Other: For the purposes of her deception: Zeffy is unfinished (indeed it is planned for her to graduate from Hogwarts and then head to PSYRs.) She is also a morning person and very much not a night person. She can play several music instruments and sing... her sewing attempts are often either abandoned in the middle or rushed.
