Next he'd tell her that he could fly, ha! "Me? Fly? Never," he said dramatically, wishing there was a broomstick around just so he could playfully bat at her with it. Flying was one of the things that made his life not mundane. As they entered the small teashop, Cameron nodded and leaned an inch closer to her face. "Deal. But if they ask, you're my little cousin, Miss Gillenwater." Not that they were forbidden from being there together, but he'd have to drag her down with him if she was going to play blackmail.

His ... cousin. The fake-relation left such a sour taste in her mouth that she would've made a face had he not been so close. Alice had envisioned herself as Mrs. Alice Gillenwater (also Mrs. Alice Moony, Mrs. Alice Rookwood, the list went on and on...) more times than she could count, but never as a cousin. Merlin, what would Sisse say?

"Deal. We're getting a pot of green tea, though, cousin." Green tea had more herbal uses most of the time, it would be better for his cough.

So today was not a total failure. He was able to get the potion needed to soothe his cold, he got to spend time with a friend, and he got tea. "Green tea it is," he said, as he opened the door for her to enter.
