Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
This is Kayode, an extrovert to the extreme. He is jovial and charming with a booming laughter to match his friendly nature. He has never been to he UK before and comes from the Kingdom of Benin to escape family strife (though that would not be known).
He is a 26 year old upper class pureblood and attended Uagadou. He does not have a wand as he was taught wandless magic as per Uagadou's ways. He is an african lion animagus and is exceptionally brilliant.
I am open to almost anything and everything for him! Hurls, flirts, friendships, random misadventures, whatever so long as it isn't something that would mar his cousins Genia and Callisata Adebayos or Grandmama Ife G's reputations!
Note to family (esp Ife): Kayode's father likely went from praising Kayode his whole life in any letters until turning heel gradually in 1892. After that, he probably bemoaned how disappointing and awful he is turning out to be. (Kayode isn't aware of it himself but all his troubles were from his older brother framing him.) So I figured it would be fun little side thing for one of them to potentially be like "hmmm, it's all sus, you seem alright to me".
Reginald Alderton is around his age, and I think would make a good friend to him. He'd awkward (lol), but he values his rep so doesn't do anything terrible.
Hurl wise, I have: Idris Oakby and Juniper Edevane. Of the two, I think Idris would be better suited for hurls lol. June is practicing wandless magic at Flint, though!
I don't know how suitable she is hurling wise, but I can provide Tori for other things - friendly (or maybe not so friendly) interactions, healing needs, pet needs, misadventures, what have you!
Genia is the obvious! Have they met before? If so, was it remotely recent? LET US FIND OUT.
I feel like Aldous meets most, if not all, wealthy internationals at least in passing, but that's more a headcanon than a thread need. I also have Eurydice Lovegood for hurling and Gregory Hart for friend-hurling!
Ife occasionally visits home to harass check in on her various children and grandchildren so she would already know and like him. Probably be a bit befuddled by his recent falling out with his dad. But she's thrilled he's here and is going to throw a tea to suss out potential ladies to throw his direction!
