Though she didn't feel better, Sage at least felt more settled. Everything about this was horrible. Her decisions were coming back to haunt each and every person in this room without their permission. If Sage thought she could reasonably get her own place and take Maggie out of their responsibility without it makings things look suspicious or being even remotely financially feasible, she would, but it just wasn't possible. She would figure out how to make this easier for everyone; stick to night shifts so she was around during the day; give up her bed for Maggie to sleep in; anything to lighten this burden on the rest of them. They shouldn't have to carry this for her, even if they were willing to.
"No, I think it can wait." She agreed. She and Tess could come up with a story about a cousin that was vague enough and give everybody the same script to stick to. Sage looked around the room again and sighed. "I'm sorry you all have to deal with this," she hated that this had become everyone's problem, "But I am incredibly thankful for you." She honestly wouldn't have been able to do it without them and she knew that.
