Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Mum's had the baby. Mr. Bell's a mess. Mum's asleep. I can hear the baby's screams from the other side of the house. I want to go outside, but Oak's sitting on my bed with this stunned look on his face and it would probably be terrible of me to leave him. I miss you.
I completely forgot the baby was due so soon. I was going to send a letter with my OWL scores, as they arrived this week, but seems hardly poignant right now.
I do hope everyone is at least physically alright? The birth went okay? I have very little knowledge about babies, but that sounds normal. Are you okay? I'm sure you could all come visit if you want, to get out for a bit? Miss you too.
No, no, I want to hear all about your OWL scores. I meant to write a few days ago, but Mum was confined to bed right before letters were sent out and the household's been a mess since.
She's doing okay, I think. The doctor said it was normal for women to be exhausted after having a baby and that there was nothing irregular about the birth. I only caught one glimpse at a baby. He's a boy, by the way. I don't think he's named yet.
Everything went just about as I envisioned it would. I completely failed Potions and History of Magic, passed the rest, I even got an O in Creatures. I'm only going to keep Creatures, Herbology, Defense and Transfiguration I think. Maybe Muggle Studies, but I don't see why I would need it. Defense was a stretch, but Lissington seems to be a little more lenient to continue on, thank Merlin.
I would assume the exhaustion is normal, being a woman isn't easy. Giving birth to an actual human isn't either. Congrats on your new brother then, I'm sure things will settle soon. Let me know if you need anything!
