I am fortunate that my marriage with Ari is an amicable one. Even without love, we like and respect each other enough to ensure that Elliott will grow up in a happy home. I'm not sure it could have worked if Ari had thought less of me for entering our marriage as I did, or if I held it against him that he was unable to love me.

Children can be a strong motivator, in more ways than one.
