Dear Mr. Pettigrew

I sampled some particularly fine tobacco recently and thought you might enjoy doing so as well. I don't know that you smoke but given your proclivity for other vices I thought it unlikely that you didn't. I hope you have a pipe good enough to properly enjoy it in.

There will be another gathering next month similar to the one you attended recently. It will be hosted elsewhere, but I'll ensure your name makes the guest list. You needn't wait until then, however, if you find yourself in need of company. My schedule is as flexible as I am.

Sincerely,
E. Selwyn

He hadn't intended to reply to the letter. He hadn't. If he pretended that night happened in a vacuum, then maybe it didn't count, but Selwyn had sent him nice tobacco and so somehow Arthur found himself replying to the letter a few days later, anyways.

E. Selwyn,

Thank you for the tobacco; & for the pouch. The monogram is a nice touch.

I'll see you next month, I think. & if I need company I'll certainly let you know. That's good to know, about your schedule.

Dear Mr. Pettigrew,

Anything worth expending effort to acquire is worth laying claim to. Monograms establish ownership and ownership implies quality. I don't believe in doing anything by halves.

I look forward to seeing you next month.

Sincerely,
E. Selwyn

PS: Owl before you arrive, if you want to pay a visit earlier. I'm not at all opposed to spontaneous evening excursions but I keep my floo offline unless expecting company.

Dear Mr. Pettigrew,

I hope you aren't the sort to read into an absence of letters and assume a correlating absence of interest. If you are, let me persuade you by saying I recall vividly the way the candlelight made shadows rise and fall across the muscles in your arms. I wish I'd spent more time kissing them. Yesterday I attended an art exhibit where a pantheon of half-dressed gods played amongst the clouds, and their chisled marble bodies weren't nearly so appealing. I wonder, has anyone ever painted you?

This was from my collection but I think the scent suits you better. It's from Spain. Please do let me know if you like it.

Sincerely,
E. Selwyn

Included: cologne with the same base scent as what Art normally wears, but more complex

E. Selwyn,

If I had any doubts as to your interest, your words would have dissuaded them entirely.

I do like the cologne; it makes me think of you.

Dear Mr. Pettigrew,

Should I stock your entire lavatory with bottles of cologne? If it makes you think of me it's worth the expense thrice over. After all, if you spend so much time thinking of me our next meeting might be particularly engaging.

E. Selwyn,

& what makes you think of me? Other than marble statues, of course.

Mr. Pettigrew,

Not enough, I'm afraid. Maybe you should visit me more often, to keep the memories fresh.

E. Selwyn,

Hm, maybe I should. When do you want me?
