Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I'm happy to hear he's enjoying the chick. It brings me joy to know it's no longer collecting dust on the shelf.
I have very little experiences with large families. My husband's family is quite large, but they rarely gather. Is it as amusing as it sounds? I always envisioned large family gatherings to resemble the cheerfulness of The Great Hall at school. Loud and crazy but perfectly sensible at the same time.
My skin is still slightly pink from the party. Supposedly it was meant to be temporary, perhaps I was sprayed more heavily with it than intended. It was all in good fun. I do hope it fades by the time of the Zabini party, however. It's becoming embarrassing.

Mrs. Freya Selwyn,
Sensible is a strong word for many of my family members; that said, I cannot imagine anything else. I'm surprised that the Selwyns don't all gather more often - large family gatherings are everything I have ever known.
Hopefully it will fade soon, although I confess to be curious about the effects.
Sincerely,
August E-A

It is rather pitiful that they don't gather more often. I grew up as the only child to a widowed mother, so all I've ever known is quiet. Mr. Selwyn is rather similar to my mother too, it seems, for he clings to his solitude. Do you enjoy the company of your family?
The pink tint has worn off now, thankfully. You'll have to contact Mrs. Rosier for the details of how she accomplished such a feat and host a party of you're own if you're still curious. I must admit I don't yearn for pigment puffing plants at my next event, pretty as they were.

Mrs. Freya Selwyn,
I enjoy their company but I prefer to live near, and not with them. The holidays are nice, and the noise can be nice, too. I'm surprised that Mr. Selwyn enjoys his solitude so much.
I'm happy it's worn off for you. I do not anticipate myself throwing any parties soon, but I shall keep Mrs. Rosier's name in mind.
That's understandable. Everything in moderation is pleasant. To be surrounded by the chaos at all times would be frustrating at times. My husband values his privacy above all else, which I believe is his reasoning for not engaging much in Society. Besides, it's not as though he has much obligation to now that he's wed.
I'm shocked to hear you've no plans to host any time soon. Truly stunned.
