Welcome (back) to the roaring twenties! The staff would like to take a moment to wish everyone a happy, healthy 2020 :)

And also some notes/reminders xD

• The on-board year is now 1890! Please keep this in mind when writing letters and filling in your premise tags!
  
• Why not share your resolutions or join the checklist challenge?
  
• The 2020 Winter Labyrinth is live! You have until the end of the month to complete all five tasks to snag yourself the stamp!
  
• We're accepting signups for the dueling tournament until Friday, and Posting Wizard until Saturday
  
• We have quite the social calendar for December and January—why not get your character(s) involved?
  
• Hogwarts students who went home for Christmas return on January 5th, with classes resuming January 6th.

Another activity check come and gone! The list of inactive accounts has been compiled, with deactivations and list maintenance underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, January 8th. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately! If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!

Posting Wizard of the Month has rolled over! December saw Lauren (Elladora Black) and Olive (Ursula Black) come out on top, with 48 and 43 PW posts, respectively. For January, I'll be facing off against Dante, Fallin, and Kelly—may the one with the most posting time win xD 

Our annual exercise in torture is back! That's right, the Winter Labyrinth is back, and players can work their way through it through the month of January to claim the limited edition stamp~

Charming's ninth Site-Wide Plot has launched! Indirect involvement is always available, and you can sign up for direct involvement (thus, a chance to snag the stamps!) through February. Keep your eyes peeled on the SWP thread and lonely threads—some of your fellow Charmers may need some help and/or background characters in their adventures!

Pre-made character ads and lonely plots will be tidied up on Sunday, January 19th. Please ensure they have been posted by an active account (switch authors using the polyjuice button!) and were posted or last updated on or before December 5th. Posts that do not meet these criteria will be deleted!

On that tidying vein, some bonus housekeeping if you're bored xD

• On the Character Directory, make sure character names, classes, and occupations are up to date! You should also make sure you have a main account indicated (♦) :)
  
• Are your character mini-profiles up to date? Check ages, marital statuses and, in the case of children, height!

Jfc is it just me or is 2020 already going by too fast?!

The February AC will take place in one week, on Sunday, February 2nd. What do you need to ensure to get through without a headache?

• Your mini-profile is filled in with height properly formatted
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on.
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• This one's mostly for staff, but that your full profile has been filled in ;)
  

If all of the above are squared away, there should be no reason for you to fall inactive in the upcoming check!  To our new members: the AC requires no work on your part. The staff team simply makes sure the above is seen to!

We are also now taking PW signups for February!
