Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Next task, her anxiety was beginning to ease. If she made the team, she would certainly be talking about it around Holly as often as she could. What an exciting concept. With a newfound energy from the last task, she took off to complete the next one. This one was for the keeper position. After she had, she once again prepared for the next task that she would complete.
Seeker seemed like the most liked part of the team. After all, it was them that ended the game and made the most points with one action. She honestly didn't mind whatever spot she got on the team, but she was surprised that the captain had decided to no longer be a seeker.
The last of her tasks to complete, she took off with the same excited energy that had filled her when trying out for keeper. It was now time to find and catch the snitch. Hopefully she wouldn't be hit by a bludger while attempting to complete her task.
Paxton had never really been one to get too involved in Quidditch though when given the opportunity to fly high up in the sky alongside the ghosts, Paxton decided he would try. He was apprehensive and slightly nervous though stood silently among the girls and the couple of boys who were trying out. He didn’t seem to be the tallest or strongest boy there but trying out for the position of beater, Paxton had one advantage: he loved hitting things.
Once the orders were given, Paxton hopped on his broom with the bat and slowly rose into the air. It took him a short while to figure out exactly what to do and how to control the broomstick but he quite quickly got a hang of it and began swinging his bad furiously toward the bludgers.
Hopefully he’d get a few and would make it on the team. His father would be proud, if he did!
