Roslyn Ross — Played by Kayte
for ROSLYN
Welcome to your seduction ;) Before we get started, I do have a few policies regarding my adoptables:
Show
- Please reserve your character with me before apping!
- Obviously, I'd prefer activity from anyone to take these on XD
- I'll give you two weeks after loosing a character in an AC before I put them back up for grabs! If you drop them via Maintenance, they become immediately available again. If you just want to temp drop them, talk to me first! :)
- Anyone picking up one of my ads must include the family and personality sections. I provide the family in all my applications so just mentioning the names is quite fine by me. Personality can be as minimal as three basic traits, just so I know for sure that our ideas of the character mesh.
If you have any questions about any of the characters below, fire off a PM to
Aldous Crouch, catch me on skype, or stalk me in the cbox ;)

IDRIS ROSS

B. 1878 | MCHB | OPEN HOUSE | SIXTH/SEVENTH YEAR ('95)
Trauma Niblings
Until recently residents of Irvingly, Ros was quick to give Katia's remaining children a place to call home following the mist that enveloped the village and claimed their parents and sisters. They are culturally Jewish.
CHARLIE MEADOWES

B. Late 1878 | MCHB | SLYTHERDOR | SEVENTH YEAR ('95)
Charming Charlie. The middle child of seven, Charlie has always felt as though he needed to work hard just to be seen and heard, and so has developed an outgoing, sociable personality. This doesn't necessarily come easily to him, though—he often finds his social batteries reaching their limits, which can result in some anxious behaviours. Grief and loss are not emotions he is equipped to process in a healthy fashion, so some self-destructive hobbies are likely in his immediate future. Suggested PB is Mason Thames.
Immediate Ties: Roslyn Ross Henry Meadowes Justin Ross Rhiannon Ross
Bonus Ties: Ari Fisk Konstantin Fisk Leonid Fisk Dorian Fisk Zelda Darrow J. Alfred Darrow
Potential Ties: Benedict Hunter; other Hogwarts staff & students
NEVILLE MEADOWES

B. 1879 | MCHB | RAVENPUFF | FIFTH/SIXTH YEAR ('95)
Nosy Neville. It's a nickname he more than earned as a child, constantly shoving his nose into what others were doing. This has been a double-edged sword: he is a font of family gossip, but can sometimes be unwelcome in conversations. He has, mercifully, begun to grow out of these habits, directing his seemingly boundless curiosity more and more frequently into academia. Still, he often can't help but follow this curiosity wherever it leads. Historically good-natured, the dramatic changes in his family life are likely to make him more reserved as he directs his curiosity to the areas of disappearance and death. Will he be able to keep his interests healthy and normal, or will he take matters too far as he learns more? Suggested PB is Archie Yates.

WARRING CRIME FAMILIES
Notes:- There's an original google doc that has a more in-depth description of the families, as well as playable character ideas.
- Lots of room for original characters from either family as well—just ping me on Discord with your idea!
- The leadership roles for each family are more set in stone, but their stories are flexible. The rest are just a bit of filler/plot ideas snagged from the ‘characters/plots I shouldn’t make’ thread.
- You have full creative freedom from here! PBs, names, personalities, etc. are all yours. These are just jumping off points to have plot things happening immediately.
- Once you claim the character, they're yours forever, and you can do whatever you want with them.
- If you want one (or more), let me know on Discord and I'll grey them out/reserve them in the google doc.
- There's a "crime-family" channel on Discord you can join to discuss/plot/ask questions! It's the crossed swords in the choose your roles channel.
THE PREMISE
For generations, three infamous wizarding families have ruled Britain's underworld: the Eventides, the Fangworths, and the Ravencrests. While their businesses are legitimate on the surface, everyone knows what lurks beneath. Corruption, blackmail, and careful secrecy have kept them relatively untouchable. Outsiders whisper their names with fear but also fascination—they are dangerous, alluring, and incredibly powerful.
THE PROLOGUE
Ancient family legend speaks of three witches who clasped hands and made lifelong promises hundreds of years ago. They would always be best friends and grow old together. As the years passed, each became a powerful witch. With the promise in mind, the three opened shops in Diagon Alley.
The eldest was talented in the caring of magical beasts, so she opened Fangworth's Feather & Fang Menagerie. The middle was talented in divination and potions, so she opened the Tarot Tea House & Parlor. The youngest was talented in memory charms, so she opened Ravencrest Funeral Home & Mourning Services.
Together, they built an empire that gave them wealth, power, and fame. Still, the three dined together each night, and all was well. As the years went by, they married and had children.
And then, the empire collapsed. Some say it was over a man, others say over power, and others over money. Each family insists that they were wronged. Corruption, manipulation, and threats choked their love for each other, replacing it with ambition, hatred, and jealousy.
Whether this legend reflects historical truth or family mythology remains unclear, but their descendants continue the feuds as if the ancient betrayals happened yesterday. Each family maintains their own version of the "truth."
THE PRESENT
The Eventides operate their tea house from Horizont Alley, manipulating hearts and futures through prophecy and love potions while navigating a succession crisis as their aging matriarch struggles to choose an heir.
The Fangworths maintain their menagerie in Diagon Alley, smuggling dangerous creatures and forbidden objects while the family heads plot against each other over business direction.
The Ravencrests run their funeral home from Knockturn Alley, dealing in memory manipulation and disappearances under dual sibling leadership hiding dangerous secrets.
Each family has developed unique internal structures—from the Eventides' seer-based succession system to the Fangworths' traditional bloodline inheritance to the Ravencrests' formal voting councils. Ministry infiltration runs deep, with family plants in multiple departments creating webs of conflicting loyalties and information warfare.
They're rumored to run as much of magical Britain as the Ministry itself, though there isn’t any proof. They’re discreet in their dealings, enough so that the Ministry can't touch them—or won't, thanks to their careful machinations. The families engage in constant client poaching, operational interference, and blackmail networks that create mutual assured destruction. Meanwhile, their children attending Hogwarts together form cross-family friendships that threaten traditional rivalries, adding generational tension to ancient feuds.
The families themselves have grown in numbers—marriages and births, "adopted" outsiders, and debtors have all been taken in and given the family's surname. It is both a protection and a threat. You belong with—and to—them. Every member (even the children) is expected to contribute to the business for the good of the family.
Over time, rifts within the families themselves have caused disparities in wealth and hierarchy. Some have hoarded wealth for themselves, others live comfortably, and others barely scrape by, assigned roles no one else wants.
And beneath it all, torment, darkness, and secrets.
Note: The staff has asked me to make it very clear that the crime families can be pursued by the Ministry IC if they are indiscreet. IC consequences are fair game and should be expected if your character gets caught. (That’s half the fun!)
THE FAMILIES (ABRIDGED VERSION)
The Fangworth Family - "Beast-Keepers" | Northumberland
Dangerous creature smugglers and forbidden object traders operating from their Diagon Alley menagerie, where the family heads secretly plot each other's elimination while disagreeing over whether to expand illegal operations or go legitimate.
The Eventide Family - "Fortune Spinners" | Seer Green, Buckinghamshire
Masters of prophecy and love potions who manipulate hearts and destinies from their London tea house, currently embroiled in a succession crisis as their aging matriarch struggles to choose an heir from among powerful but flawed candidates.
The Ravencrest Family - "Silence Bringers" | Pluckley, Kent
Cold and formal dealers in curses, memory manipulation, and permanent disappearances who run their funeral home from London under dual sibling leadership, each hiding dangerous secrets that could destroy their carefully maintained control.

Just a couple of things c:
Show
- Please shoot me a message on here or discord (theeredwitch) if you're interested!
- The faceclaim is totally just a suggestion -- the character's father was red-haired so if you'd like to go that route, feel free.
- Eleana MUST have a good relationship with her mother -- minor irritations are fine, but overall I'd like them to get along.

BELOVED DAUGHTER
ELEANA KYPRIANOU

B. 1877| HALF-BLOOD | RAVENCLAW | | UPPER CLASS| RACHEL ZEGLER
Eleana is the one and only daughter of the director of the Museum of Magic and Miscallany, Miriam Kyprianou. While she was raised in London, Miriam was born and spent a decent amount of her childhood in Cyprus -- she would have raised Eleana to speak Greek as well as English. Additionally, Eleana's father died while on assignment as an Auror before she was born, so she never met him. Miriam raised her as a single parent with a lot of help from her aunt who ended up leaving her fortune to Miriam and Eleana when she passed. They always had a lot of money, so Eleana would not have wanted for much as a child or in present day. It's also very possible that Miriam brought Eleana with her (when she was on break from Hogwarts) on some archeological digs or research trips, so she has likely been to some interesting places despite being so young.
Her overall personality and general history is wide open -- let your creativity fly free! Miriam is fixing to have a pretty bad scare while on a trip for work that threatens her life, so that could be an interesting plot point to be a part of. But yeah...Eleana's interests, desires for the future, romantic preferences, etc are all up to you. Miriam will eventually end up with William (Eleana's Godfather), so she can have...feelings about that if you want (nothing too crazy negative, preferably, but if you have a specific idea, run it by me!).
Immediate Ties: Miriam Kyprianou , William Beckett -Godfather
Bonus Ties: Basil Foxwood -Ravenclaw Head of House/friend of Miriam's @“Clive Gorgon” -older brother-type figure
