save me from my soul?1877 Guinevere is born, an event she doesn't remember. 1880 In all honesty, Guinevere doesn't really remember her baby sister's birth, either. However, her parents constantly remind her that Juliet's name was Guinevere's first true prophecy — Louise was six months pregnant when Guinevere entered into a trance, pointed at her mother's round belly, and announced that the unborn babe was a girl, and was to be named Juliet. No one's really certain if the pronouncement has any bearing on Juliet's romantic future, or if destiny caught on to Louise's naming scheme and simply chose for her. Guinevere hopes it's the latter. 1882 Guinevere's second prophecy is far more tragic — she announces that her maternal grandfather will die on her own birthday. When the date comes and goes without Auguste Leroux's passing, the family quickly realizes — she never specified which of Guinevere's birthdays it would be... 1886 Guinevere finally has her first display of normal magic, levitating her little sister away from the fireplace by her clothes when the younger girl nearly falls into the flames. 1888 When Guinevere's acceptance letter for Hogwarts arrives, she's overjoyed but unsurprised. Father tells her that she's only to attend through fifth year, and only because it will help her learn more methods of Divination than just her innate Sight so that she might join the family business. First YearsGuinevere isn't entirely surprised to be sorted into Slytherin — not only was it her father's house, but she had been dreaming of snakes — friendly and violent alike — for months. Since even before she received her acceptance letter. She's an avid, inquisitive student, and her grades are such that she actually earns a partial academic scholarship for second year, a factor she plans to keep up going forward. Even though Father still insists that she won't be continuing past OWLs. 1890-93
OWL YearsSelecting her OWL elective courses proves too easy — though her father is quick to mention that while Divination is fine, Care of Magical Creatures does not fall under the family purview. She protests that it's a good skill to have, just in case anything happens. A few days after this discussion is had, Father sits her down and explains the true nature of the family business, including the details of the rivalry with the Fangworths and Ravencrests. At least, the details he has. He punctuates his explanation with a statement along the lines of, "Now do you understand why Care of Magical Creatures is an ill fit?" To which she replies, haughtily, "Someone in the family ought to know how to defend against the Fangworths' creatures, just in case." He sulks for a day before acknowledging her accuracy. oh Lord won't you tell me
am i the righteous or the damned?1893-95 Guinevere takes exactly one month after completing her OWLs to settle into "adult" life before she begins working at the Tarot Tea House & Parlor as a resident Seer — she still has occasional true visions, but her day to day is seen using the tarot cards, tea leaves, and dream interpretation to provide matchmaking services, among other things. Some of the clients look at her with confusion at first — until they see her talents proven. She has experienced a handful of visions in front of clients. oh Lord won't you please hear me
