I was remiss in not sailing at my party last year, for Rex & I took a sailboat to Sicily yesterday. A fast one, covering a truly impressive number of nautical miles. Can you sail?

So far we've been to Rome & Naples. You would like Rome better. We're on a beach this week, getting sun — I shall no longer be English-pale, but I suppose by December it will return. I hope this punctuates the boredom of your home.

You should try it, it's nice — Rome & the sailing. Now we're checking out the Greek islands. Nico keeps updating me on sea birds. He was rather upset when my owl tried to eat a common gull. I am enjoying swimming, though.

Still can't speak Italian. The French gets me by fine. Being out there is strange.

It all sounds very exciting, if only you could take photographs of it all!

I didn't know you could swim. Do you have one of those swimming outfits?

I don't think I'll know about Head Girl until next month. It seems like forever away.
