I was remiss in not sailing at my party last year, for Rex & I took a sailboat to Sicily yesterday. A fast one, covering a truly impressive number of nautical miles. Can you sail?

So far we've been to Rome & Naples. You would like Rome better. We're on a beach this week, getting sun — I shall no longer be English-pale, but I suppose by December it will return. I hope this punctuates the boredom of your home.

You should try it, it's nice — Rome & the sailing. Now we're checking out the Greek islands. Nico keeps updating me on sea birds. He was rather upset when my owl tried to eat a common gull. I am enjoying swimming, though.

Still can't speak Italian. The French gets me by fine. Being out there is strange.

Location update: still the Greek Mediterranean. I'm enjoying it, but there's a lot of sand, & I may be starting to permanently smell of sea salt. (Is that good or bad?) I do own one of those bathing suits — my mother insisted last year when we were at the Sanditon — but sometimes I'll swim in other layers. It depends on how proper the area is.

I'm confident you'll get it, so what do you mean you won't know for another month?

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
