29 April 1895 — The Library
Six NEWTs lay between Edelweiss and the end of the year. Her stomach had been in absolute knots since coming back from Christmas break, and it rarely gave her much of a respite these days. The start of exams was a mere fifteen days away, and she spent almost all of her spare time in the library with friends studying. Today she’d met Sybille to study for the few NEWTs that they had together, but her mind was entirely elsewhere. A headache throbbed at her temples, and she finally had to put her quill down to massage them before asking Sybille for a break.
“I don’t know how I’m going to be able to get through these exams,” She murmured, her gaze flitting to her study partner. She took her wand and tapped it to her temple, hoping that sending a few mild pulses there might help relieve some of the tension. “I keep having nightmares that I show up for the wrong exam. Or that I’m meant to have memorized an entire sonnet for our Charms NEWT.”
