Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Jameson Potter vs. Charles Hutton
#1
8th February, 1895 — The Great Hall, Hogwarts
Tybalt had made a point of looking in on Hogwarts' duelling tournament today, just for the final few rounds – both to see any exciting calibre of student duelling, and to make sure the results were... fair and unbiased. (You never knew, with – certain people involved.)

So he reminded the boys of the rules, briefly, before he signalled to Mr. Potter to let his first spell fly.

Jameson Potter & Charles Hutton

Uncle Tybalt—by virtue of being married to Aunt Odira's best friend—was far less intimidating an adult to perform in front of than the headmaster. The Ravenclaw bowed his head politely to Hutton before casting, "Petrificus totalus!"
Charles Hutton

Charlie couldn’t believe he’d made it this far. Potter was the last person who stood between him and the finals. He nodded his own head at his opponent before casting, “spongify!” Hopefully Potter’s wand would become springy and bend unpredictably.

The poor Gryffindor didn't have more than a moment to say sponge before he was keeling over, fully-body-bound.

Tyb shot young Jameson a quick grin before freeing Mr. Hutton and declaring – "Mr. Potter takes the first point. Mr. Hutton, on you go!"

Well that hadn't gone as planned. Deciding to keep it simple rather than attempt anything flashy, Charlie cast a disarming spell.

#6
All Jameson had to do was not get hit. An easy enough objective in roughousing, but a bit more of a challenge when spells were invovled. Quickly—at least he hoped—Jammy went through the steps of casting a shield charm. He hadn't really noted what the Gryffindor had in store for him: the priority was just not getting hit.

This time Hutton's spell was so strong that it blasted his opponent backwards, never mind just disarming him of his wand – and young Mr. Potter went thudding off the dais and into a wall.

Shit. "Mr. Hutton takes the point – and Mr. Potter had better see the nurse, I think," Tybalt declared, worried the boy would have rather a horrible concussion. Mr. Hutton would have to go through to the next round in his stead.
