Although her disguise was still secured, Valencia felt the shift in his demeanor and wondered if he had finally recognized her. She didn't necessarily blame him For not recognizing her as easily as she had him (after all, this was his home territory and he likely hadn't spent even a minute thinking of her since he left) but she thought the few features left uncovered by her mask were familiar enough to him that her identity wouldn't have been in question. But maybe he was just distractes by whomever had joined him in the maze. Maybe there was something to be said of not Focusing upon once loves.
