After seeing a debutante at work yesterday who was using doxy powder in her rouge — (I do not think you would do this, but just in case: do not) — I realized that I should write and wish you a happy opening to the season! How has it been so far? Any interesting gentlemen?

The farm's anniversary is next month — if you are interested in visiting Avalon Glen, we will be hosting a celebration for it on June 23rd and 24th. If you are able to attend on the 23rd, my sister will be judging a lumberjack competition, which I anticipate being very interesting! Of course I know things are very busy during the season so do not worry if you are unable to join.

The season goes as it always does; the gentlemen are all interesting but none of them in the right ways. But I am determined to make this season my last, because the idea of sharing invitations with my younger sister makes me feel dreadfully old, so I am determined to find a husband who will spoil me. We shall see.

I would love to visit Avalon Glen! I shall ask my mother if we have any conflicting invitations already but supposing we don't I am very interested to learn what a lumberjack competition consists of. If I attend how likely am I to see a dragon?

I trust that you can find a man who will spoil you! Surely they are just in waiting; I truly think that true love is yours this season.

I am very excited to hear that! Should you attend, you & anyone you bring with you are welcome to come to the farmhouse after, we will be serving an extremely large dinner as we have slightly more chickens than we know what to do with. No dragons, unless something goes very wrong — I myself see them rather rarely.

I am excited to show you around! Please forgive me if Isolde tries to find gossip about society events from you.
