General | Viv stands at five feet and two and a half inches, with soft features that reflect the skin care that she helped encourage her younger sisters to adopt. Her dark hair is kept as perfect as possible, to the point where she insisted that she learn a few charms to keep up discreet hair care while on the go once she became a socialite.History:
Expressions | On average, Viv can portray a polite smile even in the tensest of circumstances. She has learned since childhood to hold in her temper when among anyone. Instead, her glares and scowls are reserved for in the mirror or while she lays in bed and does any deep thought. Her joyful smile can steal a room, especially when genuine. Though this is not an often occurrence as she prefers to keep her typical expressions at a baseline of reserved and refined.
It's her eyes that give away her deeper emotions, which she has a harder time at hiding, especially when emotional. During years of discussions with friends and such, she has grown accustomed to attempting to avert attention away from deep and meaningful eye contact, especially with those whom she does not trust.
Deportment | Her steps are smooth and graceful as though she is walking on air. Due to years of learning since she was a small child, her posture is immaculate, and she can only find herself truly relaxing her spine when she lies in bed.
Fashion | Vivienne has grown accustomed to having at least one of her younger sisters review any designs for a new dress before she makes a final decision.
Accessories | When possible, Viv prefers to have jewelry with complementing-colored gemstones, rather than a perfect uniform of one color. Nothing eccentric, of course.
Scent | Vivienne prefers the scent of lavender above all other perfumes, though will politely wear any complimentary scent should she be gifted a perfume from someone close to her.

Personality:
Childhood 1862 — 1872 The childhood of Vivienne Sophia Clark was hardly one of note. Growing up in a respectable household, her parents were blessed with a fair number of surviving children. Viv was on the older side of the lot, and as such was expected to display an example of what to do as a young miss of the house. Most often, she was expected to look out for her younger sisters. This would be a trend that would continue on even into her adult life. She takes this role in stride and some of her siblings might even call her a nag behind her back. Hogwarts 1873 — 1874 Due to her determined and cunning nature, she is a natural fit into the house of Slytherin. Never one to let pride stand in her way, she soon becomes acquainted with several older students who have excellent academic potential and requests tutoring in as many subjects as she has time for giving extra attention to. While loyal to her Hogwarts house, she never limited herself to what only other Slytherin students had to offer. Overall, her requests were polite, and she displayed more admiration and appreciation than she generally actually felt, in hopes to remain on her tutor's good side. July, 1875 One of the tutors that Vivienne had procured during her first year, graduates. Overall, their main subject of discussion had been charms. At the time, this wasn't at all a significant change in Viv's day to day, outside of needing to find someone else with the skills she deemed necessary to continue to aid her further in her studies. Little did she know that this young gentleman would one day become her husband. 1875 — 1876 Vivienne finds her elective choices underwhelming and decides to take up divination due to the young-upper-class-girl popularity of the subject. Divination never quite gets her full attention, but she works hard to pass the course to seem impressive. Summer, 1878 Viv begins to have a crush on one of the maids in her household. She doesn't fully understand what these feelings are and ends up acting even more distant than the typical employer's child would act towards the wait staff. It doesn't seem to be noticeable. But late into the summer, she catches the maid steal a kiss from the stable boy while strolling the garden. Fleeing before they notice her, she can't help but feel hurt and angry at the thought.
That night, she snuck into the servant's quarters to confront the maid and catches her alone near the top of one of the servant stairwells. After a quick, flustering argument, Viv can't full recall if the girl had fallen or if Viv had pushed her in the heat of the moment. Before she could be noticed, she had left as quickly as she had arrived. The death of the maid is ruled as a tragic accident by authorities and the household.1878 — 1879 Having received her OWLs grades during the summer, Vivienne decides to stick with four classes that get all of her attention, rather than remain in even more and dividing her efforts on courses that don't suit her interests. She elects to stay in charms, transfiguration, defense against the dark arts, and potions. 1879 — 1880 Graduating with almost perfect grades, Vivienne is ready to debut and makes her entrance into society via the Hogwarts Coming Out ball. Here she is reacquainted with Mr. Orpheus Newberry. Although he is not yet in position to marry, she finds him charming, nonetheless. Viv has every intention to marry by the time he finds himself suitable enough to maintain a household but entertains his offer for a pen pal relationship regardless. Debutante 1880 — 1884 Regardless of a lack of trying, Vivienne never quite finds a perfect match to marry. Any callers seem distant at best and seem to take a fancy to another debutante well before any established connection could be made. This leaves relations between Vivienne and her mother tense at times. While she attempts to keep her letters to Mr. Newberry positive, there are times where she confides in him about her frustrations. How so many of these 'gentlemen' seem to never be good enough in some way or another. She enjoys writing to him, finding him charming and far more intelligent than any of the suitors that have displayed any interest thus far. June, 1884 Finally, Mr. Newberry is financially and socially ready to begin looking for a wife and reaches out to begin courting Viv. She can't help being delighted at the prospect, and her mother seems overall pleased with this development. February 14th, 1885 Orpheus and Vivienne become engaged. November 11, 1885 Vivienne Clark becomes Mrs. Vivienne Newberry. Socialite Late, 1886 Vivienne suffers from a traumatizing miscarriage. It takes her months to recover, and she refuses to talk about it. 1888 Their first-born son is cherished instantly. Vivienne could care less about names but insists on spending hours in the nursery for months after the babe's arrival. She begins to worry of his future, taking in that his father is a second born son with no inheritance to show of it. It seems that her husband holds the same worries. April, 1890 At first, Vivienne is overall pleased with Orpheus's new position as head of an entire Ministry department, but she begins having her doubts as to whether their family can really settle on this alone. She fears that her son or grandchildren could one day slip down the social classes as the decades go by. It is an irrational idea. She's in good standing as a socialite and they fear not for wealth overall. Yet it nags her, nonetheless. By this time, she largely keeps these feelings to herself. 1891 Vivienne's second pregnancy weighs on her, and she begins confiding with Orpheus about her concerns regarding their heirs' futures. Where they stand in life and where they are going. Both seem to agree that something should change. When her daughter is born, she looks into the little girl's eyes and can't help but make a silent promise that she will do everything in her power to ensure that Ariadne and her big brother will have everything that she feels that they deserve. 1893 Viv's wheels keep turning as to how to get her family's position higher in life.
IN PUBLIC: Vivienne Newberry has always maintained that a good way to get anywhere in the world is to be careful before truly making an enemy. Instead, she'll opt for vague compliments that are cleverly disguised insults when she genuinely doesn't like someone, though she will have to immensely despise anyone before resorting to that level of pettiness while out in public. Usually, she will actively use relationships to get what she wants, even - though to a lesser extent - on friends that she actually cares about. While she prefers the company of intellectuals, she often associates herself with people who are trusting and are either too polite to point out when she's using them or don't seem to notice.Other:
IN THE HOME: Viv wants the world for her children. Vivienne is not the most warm and welcoming mother in the world most days and expects her children to exceed expectations even at a young age. Viv is also a dedicated and loving wife. Though there may be times that this can come off as tough love. Her siblings will get a similar tough love treatment, though not always to the same extent that she gives in her own home. She leaves the larger responsibility of that to her parents. Still, she is generally not the sibling to go to with a gentle listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Instead, she would be one to go to when needed to find a solution to a problem.
