What would a Charming New Year be without our annual Winter Labyrinth challenge? It didn't take me 4 tries to spell labyrinth, nope.

For those unfamiliar with the Labyrinth the aim is to complete the tasks to find the passwords to each forum until you reach the center of the labyrinth. If you make it, you can get a shiny new stamp for your stamp collection and if you're one of the first seven to reach the center, you get an additional bonus prize!!

Activity Check

Another activity check come and gone!

The list of inactive accounts has been compiled and deactivations and list maintenance are underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, January 5th If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately! If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!

Posting Wizard

Kit (Clarissa Cosgrove) is our winner for December, with 58 posts! January is going to be a bloodbath, with fabulous competitors Lynn, Bree, Fallin, Olive, Kelly, Fox, and Aardvark—not to mention yours truly!

Cleanup

Just a reminder that I will be cleaning up want ads on Tuesday, so make sure yours are all good to go! 

In the spirit of the new year, some other light housekeeping you may want to partake in:

• Make sure character ages are up to date. Apparently, they age once a year. Who would've guessed?
  
• Do you play someone who hasn't finished growing? Make sure the height in their profile is accurate!
  
• Optional lists are people lists too! Hogwarts course selection allows professors to see who's taking what, and Hogwarts through the years is a great networking tool!
  
• Make sure you're dating threads with 1892 ;)

Charming has a variety of stamps available to add to your collection, but a handful are only able to be awarded, not collected. Of these, the Above & Beyond stamp is most coveted, highlighting members who have done just that: been more than simply active members of the community and helpful Charming citizens but who donate so much extra time and effort to help make Charming what it is. This stamp is awarded publicly, to give credit where it is due and very well deserved <3

Full disclosure, I just remembered we had it last month.

Today, I would like to call out two members who get to add this beauty to their collection!

Fallin (Sisse Thompsett)

For not once, not twice, but regularly coming forward with ideas not only for board features (such as Occupation Locks) but also OOC events that she has then proceeded to organize AND run.

Lady (Tilda MacFusty)

For not only spearheading the push to give Discord a go, but for setting up literally everything to do with it (which, to me, is all Greek) and continually thinking about the Member Experience each step of the way.

Thank you both so much for your continued (EXTRA) efforts to make Charming what it is! These efforts are definitely felt throughout the community <3

Have YOU ever wanted to provide anonymous feedback on Charming? Well, the good news is, WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! We're running a Charming Check 2021 with questions on various aspects of the board, and we want as many of you to fill it out as possible <3 (My personal goal is member turnout of 85%. Hello friends! Just one week until the next AC on Sunday, February 5th! To ensure you sail through with ease, please make sure:

• Your mini-profile is filled in
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on. 
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• Profile has been filled in if not done during acceptance
  
• Your character's height is displayed in their mini-profile—if you reactivate an account, this needs doing!
