Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ

Them Maids and Such

So I noticed that there has been a need for connections of household staff and employers and wanted to offer a place for us all to offer our families in need of staff for drama.

Ace Lukeson and his beloved bride are newlyweds with a child on the way. You all know that scandal, so much ammunition for gossip (within reason, we may discuss). And this is staff inherited from the Flint purist parents of Lucille, so they have all the Scrimgeour-Flint baggage for all your enjoyment and pleasure since Bella used to live with Lucille in their country estate, so any established staff would be familiar with that lovely stuff.

On that note, the Lukeson staff in general need staff to witness their own tense drama. While not all secrets shall be unveiled for now, there is plenty to still deal with. Especially with a recently returned, damaged, lady of the house, Guinevere Lukeson.

I'm likely even bringing @"Odette Lécuyer" back to raise her sister after their father dies (we'll see how the end of this month goes) if anyone wants to deal with the snobby twin of an eloping rebel.

I also have Maida Fawley for the more chill family of my UCPB groups.

Everyone else may feel free to offer up their connections. Feel free to Skype or PM me if you wanna make a character that works for mine.

I don't really have any staff needs BUT, if someone wants to make a staff member who has some connections, I have Christobal Vainart's family! They live in Irvingly and his estranged wife is a muggle, but she was raised well-off middle class, so she'd be a good governess. As for his parents, they used to work in muggle factories, but can now do whatever.

CLASSIFIEDS

Elladora Black does not have a personal maid of her own but the Black household in Cumbria would likely consist of several housemaids, footmen, garderners/groundskeepers, butler, housekeeper, cook, etc. At Grimmauld Place I imagine it would be a slightly smaller force of the same and probably the same people tbh. I think Ursula Black had a lady's maid though? Olive?

Morwenna Skeeter probably has a maid of all work but it has only now occurred to me that she either needs to live out with her own family or else be the most understanding/gullible woman alive. I might put her up as a plottable...

Annabelle Bones has a cook, no more than two maids and probably a gardener that comes once a week (NB: this gardener would be excellently placed to find out about Finnybone and potentially blackmail Belle!)

Marlena Scamander lives alone in London so probably has a charwoman/local who needs the money come to clean her house once a week or else she will forget and end up living like Miss Havisham where the house is more cobweb than brick.

Ailsa Fraser and Ewart I feel have a very long-suffering staff who they're extremely fond of and consider more like family. I'm feeling an older maid they don't have the heart to let go, a younger maid who cheerfully does the brunt of the work and a cook with a clearly gay son that oblivious Ailsa wants Idunn to marry one day.

Harriet Prewett will have cook, housemaids x2, probably a young handsome butler/footman (who could absolutely be a love interest for Felix, just sayin') and she desperately needs a lady's maid to unload all her son-based woes onto. This woman has probably graduated to being more of a lady's companion who does hair by now.

Ambrosia Selwyn and family would presumably have the full roster of country house servants and it would amuse me if they were based on the titans but deposed and bitter.

Ursula definitely has a lady's maid, she doesn't like house elves touching her xD

I agree with Lauren about the Swleyn manor, I think that'd be hilarious. In addition, I feel like the female children each have maids that helps them do their hair. It'd be hilarious if one were to try and sabotage the other xD

Benedict Sterling probably has a housekeeper and cook at his house, but the brunt of his staff are most likely stablehands at Sterling Stables who look after the horses and the like.

@"Diana Fawley" the Fawley family likely have a full house of staff, so cook, kitchen maids, butler, head housekeeper, several housemaids, footmen, gardeners & grounds keepers, and she'll likely take a lady's maid and form her own staff when she's married! There's also the formidable Mrs. Wellington who reigns over Diana and Octavia Fawley - formidable but loving xDD

Evalina Rosier and the Rosier mansion probably have all the works – cook, kitchen maids, butler, head housekeeper, several housemaids, footmen, gardeners & grounds keepers and a devoted lady's maid (the aforementioned "Taylor") who after reading this of Lauren's, I def. headcanon does not like Elladora Black at all and is very bitter that she seems to have her mistress' inner ear. I also headcanon this lady's maid def fancies herself above everyone else in the household staff.

Faustus Prewett would probably have the lesser extent of staff but def a cook, kitchen maid, house maids x 2 or 3 and a head butler as the main staff, but also some nurses and governess for the children.

Gwendolyn Vane-Tempest - would have a full staff, she would have a ladys maid who is probably super full of her own self importance (Think O'Brian from Downton) because she works for nobility

Ginevra Blackwood - probably has a maid who functions as her 'ladys' maid and chaperone, even though she isn't exactly entitled to a maid, but she would have one maid she'd be closest to. And she spoils all of her staff, so her maid would be full on showered in gifts

@'Benevolence Montague' - probably has a very maternal housekeeper type - who runs her household, runs the junior maids and tells Benevolence all that is wrong with her life!

Meserimus Valenduris - has a whole HUGE household. There would be generations of people who would work for his family.

Samuel St.John-Black - probably has a footman with whom he is very close, I'd imagine he is probably pretty ambitious and regimented.

Tiberius Lestrange and Antigone Lestrange have a staff of mostly house elves but they do have at least a human butler, nanny, and lady's maid. Possibly some others.

The Butler is discreet AF and has seen some shady shit and knows better than to ask questions. In the company of the other servants, pretends to be much more 'in' on what Tiberius and Antigone are doing than he really is.
The Nanny is either in on the twin-swapping scheme (& under some magical penalties if she ever speaks of it) or an absolute idiot who wouldn't notice her charge being replaced with a different one every few weeks.
The Lady's Maid knows that her predecessor "disappeared" and might suspect that she was murdered by either Antigone or Tiberius (which is true but it wasn't intentional) and is terrified of making a mistake as a result.

(This makes me realize how many of my characters are either adopts or children... >.>)

Freddie Prewett lives in a Wellingtonshire home he rents from his sister and probably has a footman/valet, a cook, and a maid.

Charity Lloyd has her governess who she's going to try to enlist to help find Evander a wife (even if it means trying to match her with Evander).

Handsome Whitledge probably has a bunch of staff because he has zero desire to manage his own Wellingtonshire household at twenty-years-old. That includes a valet/footman, maids that he's probably drunkenly flirted with over the years, and a lady's maid to help his sisters.

Lyre Carrow has a valet/footman, a maid and a cook in his London flat.

I'm going to add to this since it takes little thought. rofl But I can't fully offer anyone up until I'm back in action. I just didn't want to forget!

Deanna Benwick has a Lady's Maid turned Nurse who 100% knows Deanna is faking her illnesses in order to spend time with her daughter. I imagine the Nurse probably helps her in her plotting and keeps the secrets. I also feel like she helps keep Deanna up on gossip while she's 'on her death bed.' She would also be in contact with Freya and likely knew her as a child. She also has other household staff who have likely been with the family for years.

Zachariah Binns probably has a cook/housemaid who pops in and out. He probably treats her like family, and, if she has any children, them as well. I could see him employing some of her family members at his bookshop from time to time.

Leo Lupin has a harrassed Nanny whom he is an absolute beast to. He's had so many nannies that he's lost count.

The rest are children or working class. Or adopts.
