The Daily Prophet

What to Submit
The Daily Prophet is wizarding Britain's most popular news source. Staff and Gossipmongering Hags will use it to cover boardwide events, and members are encouraged to submit articles as well!

Articles that are sent to the DP should be newsworthy: spectacular or unusual, involving prominent citizens, or effecting a wide range of characters. If it's weird, scandalous or there are dead people, it's probably newsworthy!

Examples of what to submit: high society engagements, event coverage, extraordinary crime, high society birth announcements, and sudden deaths. If you want something covered but you don't want to write it yourself, please contact Aldous Crouch at least one week in advance.

You may namedrop other characters as long as the information is based in fact or you have their player's consent; you may also co-write articles with other members. The DP also covers IC scandalous events: if you find a thread that you think is scandalous, let a member of staff know!

DP Sections & Reporters
BREAKING NEWS: Olla Mirage - The Daily Prophet's top reporter, Olla only covers front-page news that is likely to impact all of wizarding society. Olla Mirage is reserved for staff use.
CRIME & POLITICS: Ian Pengloss - Ian Pengloss' section covers everyday crime and politics, and is committed to investigative reporting. He often claims that Mirage snipes his big stories at the last minute.
SOCIAL & GOSSIP: Fidelia Spiller - Spiller, an incredibly nosy reporter, covers scandal, engagements, births and deaths, as well as societal event coverage.
SPORTS: Quincey Quadwapple - Quincy Quadwapple, a bit of a misogynist and the new sports reporter as of Aug. 1890, covers all things sports - mostly Quidditch.
ADVICE: Mabel Knott - Mabel Knott answers letters from the readers; you can submit your letter to the DP for a Hag-written response.
STAFF WRITER: Gulliver Doran - Doran is a catch-all reporter, but also covers international events, new inventions, weather disasters, and book releases. If another NPC reporter doesn't fit your needs, use Doran.
