Did you know?

Fern-hunting parties became popular, allowing young women to get outside in a seemingly innocuous pursuit with less rigid oversight and chaperoning than they saw in parlors and drawing rooms. They may have even had the occasional romantic meetup with a similarly fern-impassioned beau. — Bree

Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

dazed and distracted, can't you tell?
June 20th, 1888 — Diagon Alley, Magdalena's Bakery
Not much of interest had happened for Cane since coming to stay with Maggie for the summer. He was clueless as to the fogs progress in Hogsmeade and thought that this was all rather overkill of his mother. Not that he minded helping in the bakery. Helping at the front afforded him the time to read the book he had bought just a while ago. He was at a really good part and finding it impossible to put down.

Sometimes he had to though to ring up peoples purchases and to help bundle off their goods. Taking a small break from the adventure novel that he was currently devouring he leaned against the counter with his chin in his hands as his mind took a vacation from the physical plane. He vaguely noticed someone coming in and saying something to him but it took a bit before he snapped back to reality with a, "what?"
"I asked for one if those," the half goblin repeated, slightly annoyed, still holding her hand out, pointing at the pastry she had wanted. She recognized the kid as one of her housemates. He'd be a fourth year next year if she remembered right. Err she didn't remember his name though. With how new this place was, and his age, he was likely related to the girl who owned the place. Backus then.

As time creeped by she was starting to worry about if the fog would clear before the school year started, even if they had two more months before it became an issue. She didn't want more issues coming back. Eventually, is she had issues completing her last year one more time they'd decided she was to old to go to Hogwarts and she'd never finish.

"What are you reading Mr Backus?" Izzy questioned, now point at the book.

iziza is a half-goblin, meaning she is quite short. your character might not know why but they will notice her height and white hair that marks her as such.
