TOPICS
MAIN ARTICLE
Interview or
feature of notable characters.
OR
Event coverage. Think something like
this. There'd also be some information about the planning and the food and stuff. Mentions of important people should be of the style of: "People like Katherina Selwyn, Rufina Mulciber and The Queen of Narnia were among the guests!" rather than "SUZY AND BILLY WERE SEEN TALKING
DID THEY BONE."
We aim for
all member-run events to get a coverage. It'd happen about 2 weeks since the event took place IC, to allow for stuff to happen there. The wench who is assigned a particular member-run event (in the case that the member doesn't want to write the coverage themselves) is encouraged to contact the member running those events to ask for their input and details.

Advertisements can be images or just text that resemble magazine ads. Something like this. Ex: "Buy Madam Primpernelle's cosmetics to look more beautiful instantly!"
WHO WOULD BE A NOTABLE FIGURE?- Upper class folks. Especially well-known socialites and generally well-known and/or socially active people. So they wouldn't really ask to interview someone who lives a secluded life in the middle of nowhere, for example, since nobody would really care to read about them. xD
- Notable Ministry employees.
- People who've done something cool at a particular IC time.
- Quidditch players.
If you want to write about someone who doesn't necessarily fall under those categories but you think that it'd make sense for them to be featured, then feel free to contact me! Diversity is also encouraged. Witch Weekly wants to feature fresh faces every time! Reading about the same person would get old after a time. xD
WRITING ARTICLES
Articles shouldn't be too offensive and/or negative. They should be written in a neutral leaning to a positive light. The magazine is striving to have a "Look how cool this person we're featuring is!" rather than "This person on the cover of our magazine is TERRIBLE". The magazine wants to sell copies, so they want to appeal to the people who buy and read it.
The only times the magazine would be "negative" is when they write about cases/people who were publicly ruined. And even then, those articles would be written in a precautionary tale style. They'd also feature those articles when it would be
IC relevant. So they wouldn't just randomly write a "BOO FREYA TRELAWNEY" article.
Also since the magazine is very much targeted to young
unmarried girls, articles should be mindful of their wording.
