Bee's Needs

Bee's Hive Mind: I'm pretty easygoing! I prefer not to pre-plot much, esp. romance, but am willing to figure out some basic things. I am very much a fan of IC chemistry and letting things developing organically however they will. It's pretty hard to hurt my feelings if you're honest and communicative! I will do my best to jive with any ideas and am more than willing to discuss things out for a good fit, so please don't be afraid to reach out. I'm not the best at reaching out myself, because I have terrible ADHD and if I don't do it when I think about it, I will forget it, so hit me up!
I'm super busy and frankly exhausted during the school year, so I'm not as quick as I used to be (80+ school children and 3 of my own), but I try my best to be active on weekends and am more than happy to prioritize things if needed, just let me know!
My roster is constantly in flux, (and you'll see some likely deactivations missing) so I may get lazy and link intro threads or do update posts before I make a full edit to these entries below, but I'm working on honing the list down to a good mix of characters with a wide variety of things going on. Here's to hoping!
U P P E R
 Min-kyu Yun | UCHB | R'86 | rep 7 | unattached Friends are probably likeminded people in some sort of academic field! He can be a bit scatterbrained and therefore flakes often, but he's just a sweet little nerd who doesn't always know how to talk to people unless it's about his travels or nature. He's a little obsessed with Darwin and so therefore will go on about things of that nature until stopped XD As for romance, he's approaching the age where he should settle down, hence why he hasn't traveled lately as extensively as he did in his early twenties, but he would like someone adventurous or more outgoing than he is. MC/UCAB probably? On paper anyway. In reality I'm not even sure who he's interested in, so that's fun. This last season didn't go so well, but he was nonplussed, his mother however, not so much, so if you want an Involved Korean Mom to set up something that appears "appropriate" hit me up! Otherwise I'm here to wing this with meetcutes/opens/IC chemistry! |
 Beckett Longbottom | UCPB | G'77 | rep 9 | unavailable Beckett is a pretty outgoing guy with a wider net of friends than either his mother or sisters would like. He's not very uptight about much, can let loose, though has gotten better with age. He's a member of Atlantis, because Black's is too stodgy for him in reality. He's got a fairly laissez-faire attitude about most things and prefers to go with the flow. A former quidditch player he probably knows most people in the industry! As for romance, Becks is very nearly off the market, but always down to develop some past relationships/flings! |
 Cordelia Emsworth | UCHB | G'81 | rep 6 | divorced Hopefully Delia still has some friends left after her divorce! An affable if spacy academic, she does enjoy people and society, just more on her own terms than on anyone else's. She's unafraid to be unapologetically herself and won't shrink to make anyone else shine. Hogwarts friends? Other people in the plant field? Open! Still hung up on her ex-husband even though she refuses to admit it, Delia's not thinking about romance. Would love for her to explore someone new, whether it's a relationship of convenience/companionship, an academic rival, a fellow traveler, etc, I want to see just how far she's willing to go to forget Hadrian (if possible)! MC/UC, 30s, not much else really to stand on. |
M I D D L E
 Daffodil Grimstone | MCHB | R'88 | rep 7 | married Daff has a pretty wide network already, but I really would like for her to develop a couple of strong female friendships. Here are some ideas, but realistically she could befriend just about anyone. Can be something recent or we can look back into something more long-standing. New mom friends? Fellow Diagon Alley peeps? Fam things? She's still reeling a little from the Grimstone family losses and being back to work on top of it and is struggling, but trying really hard not to show it. Could use a good sister thread! |
 Alvin Bixby | MCHB | R85 | rep 9 | unattached, but emotionally unavailable His picture really encompasses where Alvin is in life. He hates his job, is definitely in love with his best friend who is grieving the loss of her husband and he's stuck in a life he isn't sure he wants. This is a Bixby trait by and large, btw. Alvin could really use some bros around his age, either from the quidditch sphere his family permeates, from school or from the ministry. What he could really use is someone to help him figure out a career that he doesn't absolutely abhor. He used to have a budding broommaking career, but an accident rendered his left hand useless and it's no longer an option. He would like to do something adjacent to that, but not the ministry. Artistic in a lot of ways, Alvin did a short stint as a portrait artist and while he liked it well enough and enjoys painting immensely, it wasn't for him. |
 Brooks Watson | MCMB | R'78 | rep 7| married Brooks is an odd duck. He's haunted by his (very much alive) ex-fiancée, recently married someone else and generally just off. He enjoys his work in the Department of Mysteries a little too much, reads about a lot of weird magic, and can be qualified as a strange dude. He's trying tho? At least on the surface, he's not handling life all that well, really. Fellow unspeakables? Other ministry peeps around his age, probably guys. He has a close friend from his school years that took him in and the family supported Brooks through being mostly abandoned by his muggle family. Other than that, he probably doesn't have any strong friendships and that's okay. Brooks is only here for a good (re; terrible) time, not a long time. |
 Dean Hudson | MCPB | G'83 | rep 8| he's complicated This asshole. I dunno he's good, I guess. I do enjoy work threads for him, but he's emotionally all over the place and I need to settle that first lol. So he's here and he's figuring things out, slowly but surely. |
 Elsie Kirke | MCHB | G'84 | rep 7 | married Always down for friends for Els. New mom friends, people from around SBburg, probably newer friendships because she's been around for so long it's hard to establish past relationships. She's currently sort of helping matchmake Barnabas Skeeter, but it's slow going haha. Hit me up if you're involved and want some awkward interference. |
 Gemma Simpson | MCHB | G'86 | rep 8 | unattached-ish In the wake of the loss of her favorite Hogwarts professor, Gemma is home in Hogsmeade for an indeterminate amount of time. She's volunteered to clean up Professor Skeeter's house and take care of everything for his mum while she deals with the werewolf fallout. She's making slow progress, mostly because of her own reasons. Amiable and outgoing, she's been gone for a while on herbology expeditions and interested in seeing old friends and making new ones. Maybe reigniting an old flame in Alfred Clearwater? Who knows, let's find out. |
 Greer Owens | MCHB | foreigner | rep 8 | unattached "Cousins" to the Greengrasses, Greer and her sister Lorelei relocated from Australia after their parents' deaths. It's been a couple of years now and they've settled in nicely, though Greer still hates the cold. She could use some friends! Likely less-conventional MC/WC ladies around her age who don't mind someone a little more outspoken. Can easily see her getting caught up in some women's rights stuff! Customers of the shop always welcome, Greer is very talented at her job, but not always at keeping her mouth shut. |
 Jack Collins | MCHB | G'71 | rep 8 | widowed/unavailable Ahh Jackjack. Definitely starting to figure out his life now that his son is at Hogwarts. In the wake of his first wife's death, Jack threw himself into fatherhood and his work. It worked out well for him professionally, but now he's starting to figure out his personal life again. A fledgling relationship with Evangeline Rowle seems to be going well, so he's got his fingers crossed for that to go somewhere and maybe for a promotion. Could use colleague threads, bros, anything really! |
 Mateo Sutherland | MCHB | G'65 | rep 8 | widowed My little sunshine spot. Teo could use some work threads, some old-folks hurling? Anything for the Auror's Office or basic everyday mishaps, I'm wide open with him! Be a trainee! Let me pretend to teach you how to fiiiight lol. |
 Sloane Bixby | MCHB | G'93 OWLS | rep 6 | unattached Still abroad for the time being, Sloane will back in December and is still dreading it. She feels like she no longer belongs in Hogsmeade and is trying to hop between magizoology expeditions to be anywhere else. Previously she used to have a wide network of friends, but after her accident, some accompanying estrangement and some loss, she's really struggling with friendships. This has led to some less-than-stellar coping mechanisms that only make things worse. She will return to her apprenticeship at the Podmore Zoo and that could include some of her new magizoology connections! Would also kill for Harrison Bixby and Josiah Hatchitt for possible shenanigans! |
 Tabitha Chevalier | MCHV | H'87 | rep 7 | unattached A complicated creature, Tabitha wars constantly with her half-veela heritage as she tries to pretend it doesn't exist. Unusually timid and quiet for someone of her heritage, Tabs has worked hard to get where she is in her career and all she has to show for it is a ghost for a best friend and a new American Attachment she's still figuring out. Love work threads for her, awkward half-veela encounters, anything with Barnaby in tow! |

 Angie Swan | WCHB | R'84 | rep 6 | unattached and uninterested The year of 1895 was a big one for Angie; she made the switch from her beloved cursebreaking career to work at the ministry in the DMA&C as she gained custody of her younger "brother", Connor after their shared vampire parents decided to up and leave on a whim. She moved from her long-time flat in London to a Pennyworth townhouse and is trying to help her bff get through his mental health struggles. It's a lot, more than she ever anticipated being responsible for in life, but she's managing. New coworker threads; she is an occasional visitor of the Velvet Veil; could use a new friend or two. |
 Sage Whitby | WCHB | H'85 OWLs | rep 8 | unattached While the Whitbys try to fly as low as possible in the wake of Maggie's return, there's gotta be some chatter! She's been overworking herself on overnights and picking up shifts to pick up the slack while also trying not to inconvenience her sisters by needing help with Maggie. Add in some strange feelings for a long-time friend and things are all over the place! Would love for people to question them about Maggie, work mishaps, Locke?? |

 Belvina Black | UCPB | incoming S 1897| rep 10 | literal child As the only child left at home now, (well besides Cygnus, but does he really count?) Belle is a little sour about it. While she loves attention, she does also enjoy her brothers. She's picked up the harp as a way to fill the time, on top of her regular studies. Other UCPB children around her age? Letters with brothers? She's easy to float along until Hogwarts, but would love to develop a friendship or two before then! |
 Ramona Pendergast | UCPB | rep 9 | leisure sports, flying & quidditch clubs Mo is a bubbly second-year Gryff who enjoys quidditch and everything that goes with it. Both of her parents were involved in school and her father played professionally. She has yet to make the house team and her odds aren't looking good, but she's got plenty to keep her occupied. She takes all the normal classes, plus music, as she plays the violin. She's befriended Connor Sinnet against his better judgement and of course her roomie Kaat Dempsey, but could also use some more! |
