Sanditon Race Weekend — July 24th-26th

After failing to do so for the entire month of June, I finally have this event ready to roll—huzzah!

What is a race, though, without its competitors?

Novice's Race

COST: 5G to participate. Capped at 15 racers—must submit their name by sundown on the Thursday. Contestents will be drawn dramatically from a hat about an hour before the race kicks off on the Friday.

THE PARTICIPANTS: Strictly speaking, anyone can, but it would not be appropriate for genteel ladies, and it would be finanically irresponsible for WC folks.

THE PRIZE: Glory, and a bronze, living statuette of a hipporgriff that may or may not be judging you at any given moment.

THE METHODOLOGY:

• All contestants will sign up. If more than 15 characters want to, I'll draw them with less pomp than they will be IC xD
  
• You can choose to thread your journey, in which case you get a CYOA-style thread of up to 5 choices that will influence your success.
  
• You can choose to not thread your journey, in which case you will get a modified dice roll to determine your success.
  
• Please sign up on or before July 19th!

Official Race

THE PARTICIPANTS: Actual jockeys will ride hippogriffs owned by attendees, or sponsored by them (15G a pop).

THE PRIZE: Ribbons for the top three jockeys (max fifteen). 100G for the owner of the winning hippogriff, which is nothing to sneeze at.

THE METHODOLOGY:

• Stat Bonuses: You have 5 points to allocate as you like. No stat can be negative.
  
• Winner will be determined based on modified dice roll, influenced by weather that will be declared that day.
