Hi there, Lynn! If you're still searching for connections, I have a character who could be a good fit for Oz, Ezra, and Ford. His name is Beaumont Chamberlin; he, too, works for the Ministry, though as an Auror.

I am open to exploring the dynamics of his possible relationship (platonic and/or professional, of course) with them, whether it is positive or negative, since I'm sure he may have encountered one or all of them at some point during his time in the Ministry thus far. It's also possible that Beaumont may have known Ezra before working at the Ministry as some sort of acquaintance—if not friends or classmates—as they attended and graduated from Hogwarts at around the same time, though the only difference is their House, as Beaumont was a Ravenclaw. They may have gone through the same Auror training program, too, upon graduating!

Another character that could be a good fit for Ford personally is my main chickadee, Cordie Howlett; she had gone by her maiden name, Cordie Middlemiss, before marrying her now-husband, Salvatore, and had stepped down from her position as Art Instructor. She may have known Ford during their time at Hogwarts—not to mention that she, too, was a Hufflepuff. How their relationship may have played out during and after their school years is up to you; I'm open to exploring that dynamic, too.

I look forward to seeing how these potential connections would blossom, though no pressure if you aren't interested; figured I'd throw a couple of characters your way!

DJ lost a sister (Christabel) and could have 1-2 threads with friends where he's weird about grief!

Diligent probably also having weird feelings once the news breaks since that's how his family went out, will start an open but keen for any threads re:this.

Ezra is (at least partially) Vanishing. He has an open thread about it.

Alfred is Concerned about Zelda in this (she's not Vanished but responding and he's worried about her emotionally), he may also be weird

The rest of my characters do not have any SWP things but could if you feel inspired or have need of them!

hello!

if you saw my absence you know that I disappeared because I hate my job and want another one. Bad news is I don't have one yet. Good news is I'm coming back anyway because I've reached the level of dgaf at work that I can easily screw around half the day posting instead of working. Pretty sure I'm there, anyway. I may occasionally still disappear. Be gentle with me.

What I'm looking for with this post:
- tell me what things you want most from me so I can prioritize (you do not need to be gentle/accomodating with me, I respond enthusiastically to enthusiasm lol)
- give me some new things that are interesting to replace the dead things
- some general 'here's what they'll be up to' for the characters I'm not getting new things for, just background/fyi

So the roster-

Ford - has two active threads and they're both with his wife. He should probably have some with other people also.

@friends and family would like a ~okay we've settled in to HAVING A BABY wow that's weird~ thread, and/or anything that's new in your lives that Ford might want to react to

Oz has one thread, tbh I'm inclined to ride that out for a while and circle back when I'm more ~present. He's doing Minister things. stressing about Irvingly mist not being solved yet.

DJ - has 2 threads, I killed a lot of them??? who wants threads back?

Alfred has a lot of threads! He can have more. Everything for my grumpy sea captain. On the other hand he's underway now / for the winter so does not actively need things until March. but I'll backdate things if you want / have ideas / whatever.

Magnolia - probably will let her lapse in the AC, just don't have time and she's hard to do connections for

Ben - will keep around for the thread with Nova then let him lapse. If anyone needs flying coach for things speak now.

Diligent - only has 1 thing but I would like to do more with him! I still really like him and he isn't that well established yet.

Oz should come visit Morwenna. She is still under house arrest and might have some advice about disaster management given how many dragons and tigers and whatever got loose on her watch. Also it will make the inevitable Wizengamot hearing more amusing for me personally.

And you can curse Elladora any day of the week. I would love that and she will hunt him to the grave.
