Emmeline gasped at the sudden shift of positions. The break in the kiss allowed her to steady her breathing even if it was for but a moment.

Feeling his hand trail along her neck and collar bone, then even lower, sent a thrill though her body. The hairs on her arms stood on end but her eyes remained on him. She watched him, no amount of hesitation in her gaze. Her eyes were wide with desire, taking in all of his features as he stood above her. Her swollen lips pulled into a smile at his words.

"I love you, too," she managed to say just before he'd pushed into her for another heated kiss. She was ready for it, her lips parting as he met her lips. Hands remained on his chest, fumbling with the buttons of his shirt all over again but barely managed to get the top few undone before she was able to touch enough skin with her own fingertips. She shuddered under him, under his kiss, as her fingers danced along the bared skin of his chest. Her legs wrapped around his own as she tried to get him pulled even closer against her.
