"I suppose that's a better way of putting it," Emmeline mused at all as she babied the last bit of her wine. She watched silently as he picked up the plates and saw to them in the sink. She'd planned on doing it later but she knew better by then not to argue with him on it.
Simply shrugging in response to his comment on cooking, she chose to focus on finishing the remainder of her wine. She just didn't have a lot of practice in regards to cooking. She'd never really needed to. Clearly that was something that would need to be changed.
She smiled at him as he sat back down and took her hand. She reveled in the warmth of it, enjoying the peaceful calm between them. She had just set the empty glass back to the table upon hearing his words. Which, obviously, resulted in a blush on her cheeks. "I'm starting to think you say that simply to make me blush," she said, attempting a pout but a smile quickly took the pout's place.
