Conall was distinctly uncomfortable about all of this, enough that he was starting to wish he'd never signed up for this.
He could only hope Eavan and her group had found somewhere more cheery to explore than this wretched place.
"If getting lost's all we're worried about -" Conall said grimly (was it all they were worried about?), "- shouldn't we follow the walls?" He jerked a thumb towards the righthand path. If there were more twists and turns to come, they might get muddled fairly quick by going straight along into the heart of the building; if they always stuck to the right turns, at least they'd keep their bearings somewhat. (Conall considered digging his compass out of his pocket, but he had an inkling this building would send the needle dubiously haywire, so didn't bother.)
