What: Visions Parlor Grand Opening
Who: The Visions Parlor is a divination service opening its doors in Diagon Alley; the proprietess, Madame Simone, invites all potential customers to celebrate their opening weekend.
Cost: Attendance and light refreshments are free; readings for a nominal fee (discounted from standard rates for the sake of promotion).
Where: Diagon Alley
Why: To promote the business! OOC, just because it's fun :P
When: The opening event takes place March 11th, rates are discounted for the following week.

Madame Simone's Visions Parlor provides all standard divination services by appointment: naming seers, tarot readings, tasseomancy, crystal ball predictions, and something you might not expect: the opportunity to have a conversation with a spectral version of yourself or another person — past, present, or future. In addition to the fees, each service requires a component from the individual you wish to talk to: for the past iteration, a memory (which you don't get returned, so choose something you don't mind losing); for the present, a lock of hair; for the future, a drop of blood. The past version can describe events as they experienced them or help you remember things you've forgotten; the present version can uncover truths about yourself you're currently in denial about; the future version can hint at what's to come. The specter fades after roughly ten minutes, and if you wish to know more the ritual must be performed again (for another fee + component).

During the grand opening all services are offered at a discount and employees will offer tours of the facilities (which include many small rooms for readings; Madame Simone contracts with half a dozen diviners of different varieties — as well as sitting rooms segregated by gender and class). Light refreshments (lemonade, finger sandwiches, and biscuits) will be available to all patrons.

There are no formal requirements for entry, but anyone who looks as though they would not be able to afford services will be discreetly asked to leave.
