Dear Mrs. Kirke,

I wanted to write to express my deep condolences for your brother. I saw the news about the tragic event and am terribly sorry for your lose. I can hardly bare the thought of losing one of my sisters, I can't imagine how keenly the loss of a sibling must feel.

I know it will go no further toward filling the void, but I hope the book I have attached will distract you enough to give some comfort.
