Fog Swallows Bartonburg, Padmore Park, High Street
Spread Inevitable?

The magical fog that has blanketed Irvingly, Wellingtonshire and parts in between has expanded toward Bartonburg and is slowly making its way down High Street. The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is still working on the origin and implications of the fog itself. Sources say that Minister Ross has pulled in additional departments to assist with monitoring the fog, from the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to the Department of Magical Transportation.

Additional resources have also been sent to Hogsmeade Hospital as precautionary measures. Miss Nathalie Jennings of St. Mungo’s hospital has relocated to assist in Hogsmeade. “I, along with a couple of my coworkers have been sent from St. Mungo’s to provide additional support to the Hogsmeade Hospital staff while we handle both the quarantine of the carnival folk and the fog-related injuries. I have the utmost faith that if everyone keeps their wits about them this will be solved in a timely manner.”

Though not everyone seems as optimistic about the handling of the situation, as letters have been flooding the minister’s office since the arrival of the fog in Wellingtonshire, rest assured that the ministry is keeping extremely close tabs on the situation. Residents are reminded that the train remains closed to all but emergency personnel and for extremely special circumstances due to visibility.

Lynch and Umbridge's Hospital Mis-Adventure
Are the pair involved?

Put simplistically, it reads like a rescue: auror Mr. Edric Umbridge was brought to Hogsmeade Hospital by Miss February Lynch. She may have saved his life. In reality? It's much more complicated than that, leading witnesses to speculate that an illicit flirtation is what brought Mr. Umbridge and Miss Lynch together.

Miss Lynch brought Mr. Umbridge to the hospital via side-along apparition while she was clad in her nightgown (and a housecoat.) Somehow, they ended up touching in a way one would expect of a married or engaged couple: Miss Lynch was seen on Mr. Umbridge's lap in the waiting room. Eventually, the pair's entanglement was disrupted by one Mr. Killian Macmillan, who was no-doubt uncomfortable about everything involved.

This is not necessarily incriminating of wrongdoing; it is by no means innocent, either. Miss Lynch should have contacted a chaperon - if Mr. Umbridge could survive the waiting room, he could wait a minute - or at least put on real clothes before inflicting herself upon the Hogsmeade Hospital population.

And just as importantly: did she save Mr. Umbridge's life, or cause his predicament?
