If you want to thread/plot with me, hit me up in PMs or Discord. I tend to think I'm bothering people if I've never written with them before and I probably won't reach out first. That said, I am VERY open to requests! I do prefer fast-moving threads, partly because I have a short-attention span and mostly because most of my characters have a lot going on that references previous threads. Post-length doesn't matter to me, I've been known to have anywhere between 4-5 paragraph posts and 2-3 sentences. As long as you give me something that keeps the thread moving, I'm a happy camper.

Torturing my characters emotionally is my favorite hobby, so the more angsty the plot is, the faster I tend to be at replying. Breakups, unrequited love, doomed ships, affairs, surprise! babies, hateships... I love it all, the messier the better. I've injured, cursed, and killed off characters, and for the right plot I would do it again. Mature threads are fine. I've done sexually explicit threads and fade to black; it just depends on the storyline and character development. Murder (run it by me first lol), violence, drugs, etc. are all fine by me. My only hard limit is non-consent in sexual situations, and I don't want to thread out child deaths. Referencing the latter as a past event is fine.

If you start a thread for us, you can either tag the relevant account or drop the link in Discord. I subscribe to all my threads by default, so any other tags aren't necessary.

P.S. If I have promised you a thread starter and haven't started it within 2-3 days, poke me please! I probably forgot because I have the memory of a goldfish. I'm just started rp again after a 6 year hiatus, so am a bit rusty and thread etiquette is a little foggy. If I do something wrong, let me know!

- [s]Barney needs a healer who can invent/create a better prosthesis so he can ditch his cane and have more mobility. Could be a 1 off thread or multiple. If there's a testing period where it goes haywire and Barney is at its mercy, even better.

- Ahn-Bo needs more werewolf and werewolf-adjacent friends. UCs or MCs who like to party as going-out buddies. Also looking to get into the organized crime side of society for plot reasons.

- Melinda has absolutely nothing going on except for having to move out of Irvingly and into her mother's home. If you need a blunt UC lady for anything, toss it my way!

- Effie May's parents are pushing her to get married and settle down. She's highly uninterested but feels guilty letting them down. I have a few threads currently where she's exploring her sexuality with women, but am open to a few more. Also open to hurling with WC men, though it wouldn't be romantic for obvious reasons. Doesn't mean she wouldn't get married to make her parents happy and to someone she has a good relationship with though!

I think we've already got threads for all the potential romances allowable by our gender & sexuality combos lol. BUT I am also keen on mutual pining or star-crossed lovers so maybe keep me in mind for your upcoming characters if one of them fits with mine <3

Re- Ahn-Bo and organized crime, if he and DJ become friends, DJ is also 1) friends with a lot of NPC drug dealers and addicts, 2) friends with Sybella Capobianco whose family is mafia. Not that that's well known, DJ doesn't know, but maybe there's something interesting buried there

Set by Lady!

In order to keep up appearances, the man who is living as Gianna's brother is pushing her onto the marriage market to find a husband. As he is actually her husband just living in hiding under her brothers name, this leads to a couple of options.

They have a successful ship leading to a sort of bigamy by Gianna (her husband is recorded as dead so legally she is a widow, but not really

Her hus-brother turns jealous and violent, he is a gangster after all.

They just have a bit of fun to get some stuff out of her system as her and her hus-brother are trying not to sleep together so she doesn't end up looking like she got pregnant by an unknown or worse, her brother.

It turns out to be a massive scam where they rob your character blind .

Im pretty easy with how things might go so there might be an entire curveball depending on what happens.

New character! Marlowe's going to be popping in and out of threads at the Velvet Veil. If you'd like a run-in with a stoic house-elf that's most definitely judging you, let me know. STILL LOOKING FOR

1.) Effie May Woodcroft's parents are pushing her to get married and settle down. She's highly uninterested but feels guilty letting them down.

• LESBIANS: I have a few threads currently where she's exploring her sexuality with women, but am open to more as they're a bit slow moving! WC would be ideal but am open to any class! I'm also open to an unrequited love plot for her - she'd want someone who is incredibly capable, ambitious, and more logical than emotional. (Also, feminist-ish~ at the minimum although that could be a fun contention point between them if she isn't!)

• WC (OR EVEN MC OR UC) MEN: I want a plot where her parents have set her up on a blind date/unofficial arranged marriage for the man they've selected to be her husband. They'll constantly pressure her, and who knows, maybe they'll get engaged or even married. She is very susceptible to her parents' pressures. It could be fun if her beau is either: unaware of her inclinations, marrying for ~reasons~ and doesn't care, marrying because he's being blackmailed, agreeing to a lavender marriage, or anything else you might think up! If he's MC or UC, we'd need to think of a really good reason this arrangement would happen. Her rep might drop to the point she gets fired from her Ministry job, which could be very fun and angsty. >D

2.) Barnabas Skeeter needs:

• SINGLE LADIES: Because I'm determined to see him married. He's less rude with women now that he's been trained by a secondhand cursed book that would beat him every time he screwed up. The curse has been removed, and he's doing slightly better on his own. The shorter she is, the better (he's 5'3" and I think his max acceptable height would be 5'4".) I'm open to UC and WC women, but he'd have to be obsessed and desperately in love to overlook the scandal that would cause. He thinks he wants a sweet and soft partner, but it's the ones that keep him on his toes that he actually falls for, such as: strong-willed, argumentative, opinionated, confident, challenging, sassy, hard-to-please, etc. The harder she is to please, the more he'll obsess over her. Dude craves approval who don't give it easily like nothing else LOL.

• DRINKING BUDDIES: UC or MC, likely Ministry employees or knew each other from school (Slytherin 1870-1877 + prefect), and rep of 7 or higher. I'd love to have an excuse to have him be invited/discover The Velvet Veil and attend one (or more) of their events! During said threads, getting dating advice and/or having them throw names of eligible ladies at him (their relatives would be fun) would be great. I'd also like a thread where they're teaching him on the spot and he has to go up to a woman and try out whatever they suggested. (Could be NPC or played!)

3.) Matthew Eventide doesn't necessarily need threads (but am open to them!)

• NETWORKING: Would love to establish relationships for him with co-workers (Dept. of Mysteries Assistant Head), family members, other crime family members, and friends from school Slytherin 1874-1882), similar social circles, non-family seers, wizard chess players, or The Velvet Veil.

• ARTIST: He's recently taken up painting magical portraits with the goal of adding them to the collection in his family's tea shop. He is terrible and has no talent of any sort, so his creations are mediocre at best and horrifying at worst. I'm looking for someone who could help him hone his skill!

• VICTIMS: He entertains himself by answering random ads and bulletins, stealing memories people won’t miss to make some extra cash, and other vaguely devious activities. Would love to have specific people and 'crimes' added to his rap sheet, either past or present!

4.) Melinda Podmore needs DRAMA in her life so...

• HUSBAND: He's an NPC currently but would love to have him played as a temp character! He's gay and hasn't told her; she's not attracted to him and hasn't told him; they are openly mean to each other and have one child who is a firstie at Hogwarts. They were displaced by the Irvingly mist and are currently living with her mother. The reason he's a temp character is below. ;P

• MURDERY PLOT~: I'd like said husband (above) to meet an untimely death. Could be an accident and she's suspicious that it wasn't or (my personal preference) it was planned by someone (this can coincide with another plot I'm looking for for Mary Ravencrest down below.) She hires an investigator/detective/Sherlock Holmes to get to the bottom of it.

• LOVE INTEREST BUT MAKE IT EPISTOLARY: A romance that develops solely through letters. It would be even more entertaining if they'd never met each other in person and/or it was anonymous so they don't know who each other are. She's pansexual (although maybe neither knows the other's gender identity), and it would need to be someone who is intelligent or at least sounds that way in their letters. This could work for any class and age, though no-one underage, thank you. :P

5.) Marlowe I just want permission to hop into any of your threads set at The Velvet Veil! He wants to do his staff duties and then pop back out. Could be for just one post of his, or could be for a few. An entire thread with him would probably not be very entertaining for your character since he's pretty stoic and dedicated to his job, but I am open to it if you really want one!

6.) Mary Ravencrest (incoming new character.) Getting ahead of the game so she has things to do as soon as she's active! She's WC and a Silent Cleaner of the Ravencrests. The Ravencrests are paying for her Hogwarts tuition because they're grooming her to become a memory weaver. Her muggle parents owe debts to the Ravencrests; both have sold memories and don’t remember much. She’s accepted that one day they won’t remember her either. When she's not at Hogwarts, she handles the aftermath of the family's disappearance work—disposing of bodies, cleaning crime scenes, and eliminating physical evidence. She maintains strict silence about everything she's seen, and her peers likely think her odd and a bit morbid. Her intimate knowledge of family crimes makes her both valuable and dangerous, requiring constant surveillance by higher-ranking members.

• RAVENCRESTS: Establishing connections with fellow family members—particularly the UC ones that she reports to/is surveilled by.

• EVENTIDES & FANGWORTHS: She probably cleaned up your dead relative/friend's murder scene. She knows, but you don't. Open to other plot/networking things!

• HOGWARTS PEOPLE: She's a fifth-year Slytherin and a loner type out of caution. Looking for networking with classmates/staff for pre-established things! (Most probably think she's weird or off~)

• MURDERS AND VICTIMS: Either past or future! Keep in mind she can only work during school breaks and Hogsmeade weekends. The Ravencrests have her discreetly dispose of bodies. If you have a murder victim in your background or are a murderer who hired the Ravencrests for their particular set of skills, I'd love to at least establish relationships/stories or even thread them out.

• BONUS: Melinda Podmore (above) has a murder plot, so you could get 2 Té characters in one plot! Mary could clean up the evidence.
