How anyone could deny a young lady with a smile like that any form of traveling was beyond Rufus. Surely when she found a husband she would entice him to travel just by that smile alone. "For your sake, I hope you do." He answered with a grin.

"Really? I had no idea. And here we British are colonizing them as if we know better." His tone was bemused as he thought about it. Really it was the exotic nature of places that the Empire colonized that Rufus was intrigued by, Egypt, India, they all seemed so very different and exciting than here.

Miss T was quick to apoligize for her comments and Rufus's brow furrowed. "There is absolutely no reason to be sorry." He smiled at her, "You have an avid audience, take advantage of it."

Rufus was unsure how long they walked, the shadows lengthened as they passed down the park paths, their conversation ranging over a great many things, yet it seemed as if hardly anytime had gone by. When they parted ways Rufus was quite sure he could say it was one of the most pleasant afternoons he could remember.
