~— A B O U T — Gladys has spent the last six years as a quiet, eager student. She has managed to avoid standing out too much, save just how terrible she was at Divination. She's still surprised she didn't earn a T on her Divination OWL. Practically minded and loyal to a fault, Gladys has definitely cultivated a small knot of close friends, but I'm open to just who those friends are. She is a Mom Friend, always making sure everyone else is doing what they need to do before she takes care of her needs. CLASSMATES: Gladys is a November seventh year, making her older than the bulk of her peers. Fellow seventh year girls in particular are of interest to me here; Gladys is hyperaware of the socially constructed division between boys and girls, and has no interest in breaking that barrier. She also has trouble talking to younger students as if they were peers, though she is willing to tutor younger students in specifically Charms and Transfiguration. She is not a bully, but she is very aware of social norms. PRE-HURLS: Ever the dutiful daughter, Gladys is already on the lookout for potential husbands among the current crop of bachelors. She is not presently interested in any of her professors; though she recognizes that many of them are decent on paper, she finds the idea...unsettling. That being said, she is possessed of an ample dowry — not massive, but nothing to snub, either. She does desire a love match, but is willing to marry for convenience if it comes to that.

Syb is in the same class and year! I could definitely see them being friends since Syb has settled down her ambitions in the past four years.
