As more candidates for the position of Minister of Magic are announced, Lionel Lupin has joined the fray. Upon his graduation, the 41-year old trained as an auror from 1870-1873 before becoming a full auror. He then moved to the Department of Investigation where he has worked his way up to being Head of the Department starting in 1887 and has held the position ever since.

Mister Lupin is known to align more to the right side of politics but it is not yet known to what extent this may be. He is active within society and is a prominent member of Black's.

In his private life, Lionel Lupin married Miss Cecilia Bulstrode, a budding young socialite, earlier this year. The newlyweds reside in Hogsmeade.
