Did You Know?
One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Crispin,
My apologies for being unable to escort you to the station as you set off today — there was, regrettably, a most important interview for my research that I could not reschedule, and I am sure you understand the importance of upholding such commitments.

By now, all being well, you should have arrived at the castle. Do try to make a good impression, regardless of into which house you have been sorted, and let no friendships impede upon your studies — they will be the foundation of your future. I daresay your grandmother will be most interested to hear how you are getting on in your classes, should you feel the need to write to us.

Otherwise, I imagine we shall see you again at Christmastime in good health and good spirits. Stay well.

Your father,
E. Picardy

Crispin Picardy/ Aldous Crouch way late, don't mind me xD

Dearest Father,

I would never dream of begrudging you your work—it is after all, of utmost importance to society. I hope that your interview was most fruitful, and I eagerly await your next publication. I will read it most carefully when it is completed to your satisfaction!

Some of my peers have told me that my sorting into Hufflepuff indicates a strong work ethic. I will strive to exhibit this in all of my endeavours.

Fondly,
Crispin
