Appearance: Nearly three feet tall (2ft 11in). Bat-like ears. Spindly limbs. Head too big for his body, and eyes too big for his head. Ambidextrous.
History:
1836-1860: Born into the Hogwarts house-elf population as Blinky. Once he was old enough, he helped care for the castle and students. In his adult years, he developed a penchant for butter beer and stealing students’ cats (into what would become a cat army.)
1861-1883: It was determined that he wasn’t a good fit for Hogwarts, and he spent the next couple of decades being passed around amongst the wizarding community.
1884-1895: Blinky’s new master is a secret owner of a London Club called The Velvet Veil. He’s renamed to Marlowe (to fit the vibe), which he thinks is distinguished. He’s spent the last 11 years running about the club, serving patrons and members, assisting the staff, running errands, doing general house-elf duties along with others of his kind. Sometimes, one of the club’s investors @‘Gilbert Prusseneit’, will ‘borrow’ him for personal needs. Marlowe feels very important on those occasions.
