Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Big Badger, Little Badger (For Hufflepuffs)

The note was posted sometime in the morning after the first years were sorted, the parchment neatly tacked to the bulletin board in the Hufflepuff common room as well as the one near/in the Great Hall.

Badger Pair Initiative
Upper-year students (4th-7th years) interested in offering steady guidance to their younger housemates are invited to sign up for the Badger Pair initiative. You may spend some time acting as a tutor, a guide, a friend, or simply be someone a younger student can turn to when the castle feels a bit too overwhelming for them.

Younger students (1st -3rd years), especially those in their first year, are highly encouraged to sign up. If you’d like help finding your way, navigating classwork, or just want a friendly face you can turn to for help, you’ll be matched with an upper-year student to help you navigate Hogwarts.

Tasks may include:
  • Reviewing spell basics or class material
  • Helping with wand technique or potion technique
  • Sharing shortcuts to help younger students get to class on time
  • Homework and essay tutoring
  • Introducing younger students to classmates or professors
  • Sharing a meal or a walk to class
  • Other (reasonably deemed) duties as you see fit.

Acts of care will be rewarded.

- Professor Lissington, Hufflepuff Head of House
