To my Mummy and Daddy,

I hope you are well and I really hope that the others are okay too, especially little Richie. I am so sorry for what happened and I hope that one day you can forgive me to come back.

My cousin is lovely to me, I wish I was allowed to tell you all about her but the man that reads my letters says I can't. She is kinder than I deserve but I think she knows how much I don't want to be here. School starts soon, I am so scared, I will try to be a good girl like I promised, but I don't know if I can. I think I have made some friends, a boy and a girl, they are very different. ■■■■■■ is very mean, but she is funny. ■■■■■■■ seems like a posh boy, but he showed me how to skip stones at the lake. I liked doing that.

The man said you can write to me when I am school, please do. I know you might hate me for everything. But I'm frightened, I will try to be better and I don't want to be alone.
