After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Another activity check come and gone! The list of inactive accounts has been compiled and deactivations and list maintenance are underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, 10th December. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately!

Server Issues
People have been reporting occasional loading errors on Charming over the past week. They seem to be fixed by refreshing although this is of course very irritating, especially if you write up your posts in the browser window. This seems to be a web host issue and not us specifically so hopefully it'll be sorted soon.
Image Hosting
Lastly, you may remember hearing about the UK bringing in age verification checks on websites and long story short, Imgur has blocked UK IPs. This means UK users can't view any images hosted on Imgur and instead get a replacement image stating the image is blocked.
You're welcome to use any image host you like but if you want to make sure your images are visible to everyone you may want to use an alternative image host. I used to use Imgur and have swapped to File Garden. So far it's been reliable and it's easier to use than Imgur.
