Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Have you come across anything involving Laurent Coyle (b. 1863) or Rupert Chetwold (b. late 1862)? They have both recently expressed interest in a friend of mine, and from what I know of them that interest doesn't seem to be genuine. Would you pass along any information you come across? I'd owe you a favor, of course.
Have you come across anything involving Laurent Coyle (b. 1863) or Rupert Chetwold (b. late 1862)? Coyle is the one I mentioned the other night who I saw involved with M. I knew them both in school and neither is someone I can comfortably trust without reasonable assurances.
You can tell me I'm ridiculous or imposing upon M's privacy. I know. If it were any other man I wouldn't - something doesn't feel right.
Would you pass along any information you come across? We can discuss over a beer if it helps.
Funny you ask that right around this time of year. They’re two curse breakers whose names usually crop up in the winter; mostly in hospital records, and bounty hunter cases, but there was an incident of theirs a few years back that Prewett and I had to untangle.
They’re known for taking on the more dangerous freelance cases; ones anyone with half a brain wouldn’t dare go near.
Real daredevils, I think. Let me do some poking around in our files. If you have any more information on them, send it over.

Even by those names they don’t sound good. I’ll do some digging around, but you might have better luck with the Auror’s office, where I presume you’ve already inquired.
Still, keep me abreast okay? In any other circumstances I’d tear you a new one, but from what you’ve already told me I don’t like the sound of them.

I inquired with a friend in the office, yes. I'm hopeful he'll have some solid information for me to pass along. In the meantime, would you keep this between us? If Coyle's interest is genuine I don't want to ruin any blossoming relationship for M.
Thank You

Them being daredevils fits well with what I remember of them in school. Chetwold was often the sort to involve himself in dangerous pursuits that saw him facing detention. Coyle was the more stealthy of the pair, intelligent and savvy. He rarely, if ever, got caught. Admittedly, I haven't had much contact with them throughout the past decade so I'm afraid I don't have more information to share at present.
I will say, I find it odd that they seem to reemerge in the hospital records specifically. The friend of mine they've expressed interest in is a hospital employee.
I'll make myself available for whenever the favor requires. Just say the word.
