Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Hesper was stood near the bottom of the stairs leading up the astronomy tower waiting for the person she was patrolling with to return from the bathroom. They'd been gone for less than a minute when she thought she heard scuffling and hushed voices somewhere up the stairs. When she stopped to listen, however, it abruptly stopped. Although astronomy classes were always held in the evenings by this time they should be over with. She sighed and looked down the corridor in the direction her patrol partner had gone. Of course there was no sign of them. She shouldn't go off until they were back but there was clearly some sort of mischief taking place nearby and if they were planning on going up the astronomy tower then they needed to be stopped and they were hardly going to wait for her partner to get back.
With an irritable huff that was aimed at said partner for having the worst timing, Hesper decided not to wait. I can hear you, she called up the stairs. Come down! After a few seconds passed and the noises had stopped, she had to assume the culprits thought she'd second-guess herself and go away if they stayed silent. Now! There was suddenly a sound of shifting fabric, a yelp, and then the sound of something tumbling down the stairs. Hesper approached the foot of the stairs and the object came to a stop a few steps up from the bottom. Is that a... firework?! As Blair climber the stairs to the Astronomy tower, they could feel the sticks for the rockets digging into their legs. Wrapped warm and in practical clothes the teen was ready for some fun. Blair was not their usual self, the excellent student had taken a sharp and rebellious streak. It wasnt surprising why, all of this madness regards werewolves affected Blair in a very real and personal way, and yet the couldnt tell anybody. "Why are you feeling low?" "Oh, no reason, dad's a werewolf and the ministry is taking big steps to uncover it, nothing special." There was a smirk on the Ravenclaw's face just as they heard the voice of Hesper Gamp from the bottom of the winding staircase.
Blair's breath stopped and they thought invisible thoughts trying to disappear into the gloom and hope the head girl might assume it was one of the many cats and just move on. The more urgent snap of "Now" took Blair by suprise and as they backed further into the stair alcove one of the rocket sticks caught on the wall and slid out of Blair's pocket. The red head tried to catch it but it clattered down the stairs. Paper, wood and powder making a noise that seemed louder than the entire choir.
Blair heard the query loud and clear. "I have no idea, my friend gave me these to hold." Blair winced as the worst lie possible tumbled clumsily from their highlander mouth. Did Hesper like fireworks? Blair was in so much trouble if this got out and Hesper wasnt on board for some fun
