Jin smirked as Moon-ssi sidled away from him, ticklish as he was. They both were, which was the only thing keeping him from continuing. The retaliation wasn’t worth the funny noises Moon-ssi made when he laughed (which Jin adored); not when he was suddenly so comfortable in the cushions. He closed his eyes, grinning.
The protest only earned Moon-ssi another smirk as Jin opened one eye and stuck his tongue out. “I wasn’t cheating,” he lied. “I’m just better at cards than you.” But he couldn’t keep a straight face through his whole declaration. Another laugh bubbled out and Jin feigned sheepish.
As quiet finally settled over them, he heard Moon-ssi turn and felt the young yangban’s eyes on him. Jin studied the ceiling and counted stars in an effort to distract himself from the blush that warmed the apples of his cheeks. He didn’t know why being looked at affected him so; it made him self-conscious, maybe, and even more so when it was Moon-ssi. The other had a heavy, honest gaze that Jin could feel on him even from across a quidditch pitch. It was distinctly Moon-ssi in its weight: open, inquisitive, and bluntly observant.
Jin made a soft noise of appreciation. “Me too,” he responded lightly at the comment about their hanok. “We have to remember where it is so we can find it again.” Jin took the initative to turn his head towards Moon-ssi, cheeks still warm, with a smile. “It can be our own place on these big old grounds.”

* Jin takes potions and enchantments at times to give his voice a persuasive quality.
His performances, or even a simple conversation, can sometimes suggest thoughts
and ideas to his audiences.
