Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Irish poet Porphyria Browning Dempsey this week published a new collection of short works entitled Cemetery Verses. Early critical reviews suggest that this volume, like much of Dempsey’s prior poetry, has a “compelling power and haunting intensity”; but that her subject matter is ever more laden with unnatural passions, melancholy longings, and “plunges to new depths of ghastly and unfeminine depravity”.

Professor Marlowe Forfang has released a new article in Qualitative Research Quarterly entitled Are Werewolves Capable of Conspiracy? The article includes a collection of interview quotations surrounding the theme of isolation and loneliness, particularly for recently turned werewolves. Forfang argues that because of societal strains and pressures werewolves are fundamentally incapable of forming groups and can therefore never be claimed to be acting in conjunction with each other or in pursuit of a shared purpose.
