One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

#9. Witness a Crime

March 25, 1895 — High Street

Georgia had a few errands to run this afternoon, and had apparently picked a popular time of day to do it. There was a bit of a crowd on the high street on this particular late afternoon, and it was a little bit of a squeeze as she exited the Post Office and joined the flow in foot traffic toward her next errand.

There was soon a break in things and Georgia had just a moment to breathe a sigh of relief when someone plowed suddenly into her from behind. "Oh!" She stumbled forward and then turned in time to see the unfortunate person behind her hit the ground where she'd been standing--and for someone else to take off at a sprint in the other direction. "Hey! Stop!"

Bloody hell. Did she look like she had much on her for someone to rob her? She assumed the target had been the woman she collided into or someone else. Then again, the only thief worth his salt around here was her own husband and the person running off was obviously not Marvolo. "He took my coin purse," she stated as she got back to her feet and prepared to chase down the thief.

#3
Georgia paused to see that the woman was on her feet before turning to follow the thief. "We can't have that," she said. Imagine the audacity--stealing from someone in broad daylight.

#4
"I suppose I should be flattered they thought I had much to steal," Morgana snarked as the woman followed the thief along with her. Well, at least she had backup? Morgana knew she and her husband looked regal but damn, her clothes were not exactly stellar with its patchworked spots. She was clearly working class. Morgana was going to make note of the thiefs face and have her husband teach him a lesson or two after she (and perhaps this woman?) had taught them a lesson of their own.

#5
Rather than reply--because, well, there wasn't time to think of a polite thing to say!--Georgia drew her wand and sent a tripping jinx in the direction of the thief's feet--and hoped she didn't get a bystander in the process. She thought she had an opening, at any rate.

#6
A tripping jinx was tame compared to what Morgana would have liked to do. Still, the thief did stumble but not enough to fall completely. "Stupefy," she cast but her spell was not strong enough to reach the same distance as the other womans annoyingly enough and she also hit a bystander. Ugh! She was hating having gotten out of bed today.

#7
Shit. Georgia saw the bystander drop as she passed them--that was going to be a problem. But the other woman had the right idea, and hopefully Georgia's own stupefy spell was better aimed. At the very least, there was a well-timed break in the crowd.

#8
Morgana had very little care about the bystander and besides, other people were helping them up. She was personally more concerned about her money. She was not exactly rolling in coins despite being an illustrious Gaunt. "Did you manage to get the thief?" She asked as she caught up to the other woman.

#9
"There he is!" Georgia said, hurrying toward the prone form on the ground as the crowd around them parted. She waved away a few gawkers, saying, "Someone go get a constable!"

#10
Morgana snatched her coin purse back from the thief on the ground and gave him a good kick for good measure. "Thanks for helping me get this back. My husband would have been displeased." Honestly, he would probably still find some way to go after the thief if he found out who they were. Maybe she should stick around to catch a name from the constables.

#11
"Of course. Glad to help," Georgia said. Honestly, she kind of enjoyed the thrill of chasing down the thief. She suddenly understood a little why people became aurors and the like.

Turning, Georgia spotted a figure moving through the crowd toward them. "Oh, good, the constable's here." She stepped back to let the constable do his work. She lingered to give whatever information or help they needed from her before setting off on her way again.

Well. That had certainly made her day more interesting!
