Did You Know?
One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

quid pro quo;;

Rose's face did not betray her emotions - this wasn't the first request she'd ever had like this.  Sometimes it was an older gent who wanted to spice things up with his wife or an attempt to mask a lack of sexual attraction - and in an attempt to conceive by turning the other half into someone else.  There were strangers things in heaven and on earth than were thought of in the lust English elites.

Why Mister Blackwood would be in that category she couldn't possibly imagine - he wasn't yet married that she knew and a bit of rough was well within the confines of his pocket book.

'Certainly Mister Blackwood' she answered him, pleased that he was well aware of what she would ask of him, it made the discussion of finances a little easier. 'It would indeed be an expensive evening' Rose trilled, 'But I'm sure, as always, the ladies of The True Hart can oblige you' her southern drawl more obvious through the diphthongization of her front pure vowels. Rose stood and crossed to a tall clock that stood against a wall, she wrapped smartly on the door twice and returned to her seat.

'Is it merely beauty you seek, or should your companion have any specific reqiurements?'
