Jack stuck to his word, trusting that Mr. Greengrass would be on his way, if only in the fact that he didn't turn around to check.  He made his way back towards the Potts house, this time going around the side to the back garden and the Black Lake.  He'd seek out Mr. Potts and tell him about the exchange and then Jack could relax enough to head home, knowing someone else was keeping an eye out.
