Given the past few days Asha couldn’t blame Tala for not immediately remembering the letter. He set about trying to patiently explain it to her. “The one you sent the day we -” wed. He finished silently, catching himself before the word escaped. After all he didn’t want to upset her further. “The day this all started.” He amended quickly. “I got one in the morning from you, shortly before I ran into you at the Griffin.” It had been full of amorous sentiments. Surely she’d remember the contents now that he had reminded her of it.
